Another one with problems!
OK.. so I left them on a while without checking the tyre pressure, but when I did come to try to remove them I'd had the same as some other reviewers - they'd welded themselves to the valves! The local independent tyre shop said they see it all the time, and they wanted £6.50 to remove and replace each valve, so a total cost of £26.To get them off, I firstly sprayed liberally with WD40 and tried holding the valve with one pair of pliers and unscrewing the cap with another pair of pliers, but the whole lot span round, valve and cap, and some air leaked out from the valve. So, I went out and bought a cigarette lighter, applied some heat to the caps, and this freed them up enough for me to be able to remove them using two pairs of pliers. I'll be replacing them with bog standard black plastic ones - who looks at a car and thinks 'Wow, those silver dust caps look really smart' anyway?!?!

Weld themselfes onto air intake on tyres.....
These are causing me a lot of problems, somehow, these metal screw dust covers have 'welded' themselves onto the tyre air intakes, and cannot get off. The have only been on a 2 months.Despite soaking in WD40, I have only managed with great difficulty to get 2 off, the remaing two, are well and truly 'welded' onto my tyre air shank, so, it's probably a trip to my garage to for new valves and intake shanks...Not pleased, even though greased, they stuck on, not sure what alloy these are mahde of, but, I suspect, it reacts with the brass on the car valve, causing some kind of weird reaction and causing this welding action.Having used several types of dust guards over the years in the past, some made of pure aluminum, some plastic and alloys, no problems, till I bought these................Very happy, a lot of unesseccary hassle....

Do not buy!
I am yet to use these because I stupidly didn't read the reviews previously and only after these were purchased, however after reading the reviews I didn't want to put these on just in case something happened.I thought emailing the supplier would help just so they can guarentee that what the reviews were saying were either incorrect or there was a way to avoid this. Instead they told me not to buy from them if there was any doubt. I personally thought this was a ridiculous response. I understand these are cheap and it's what thats the type of customer service you expect from a cheap shop like this online but I wasn't going to risk forking out for 4 brand new tyres (based on previous responses) so I thought I would ask and see what response I got. These arrived and are going straight in the bim, it's not even worth the hassle with the company who gives such a blunt and informative careless attitude or worth the risk of losing all 4 tyres like the poor chap below.I have made the company aware I was going to write a solid review about this product but this didn't bother them in the slightest.I do feel very sorry for the attitude shown by the employees!:)

Be very careful when purchasing these. I have had problems unscrewing these from my wheels. The local garage has also experienced problems with this type of dust cap. I Ended up using pliers to remove from the valve however causing damage to the wheel valve itself. I dread to think what I would have done if I simply needed to add air to my tyre as it was well and truely stuck on all four wheels. None of the dust caps were over tightened which surprised me when they became impossible to remove by hand. I say stick to the normal plastic dust caps for a hassle free life. AVOID

Be-warned !!
I must warn people about this product, they may look nice and seem cheap but they will cost you in the long run. I placed these on my Peugeot 206 to enhance the look of my wheels but after a couple of months i went to the petrol station to check the air in the tyres and these chrome (effect) dust caps would not unscrew !! It took me and two pairs of pliers to remove 3 of them but the 4th would not budge. I therefore had to take my car to Kwik-fit where they had to replace the wheel/tyre valve which cost £11.50 !! That could have been over £45 if all 4 were stuck. These are a cheap product and a "MUST NOT BUY ITEM" you have been warned !!

Good
Arrived earlier than expected. They feel strong but very lightweight! This isnt a bad thing though as I ride a bike and would need to shave the weight off where possible as this may affect the wheel balance! Works great though. Only reason I voted 4 stars was for no reason so I have decided to up this to 5 again! GREAT COMPANY AND GREAT PRODUCTS WITH GREAT PRICES

Good value.
Very pleased with these caps. They enhance alloy wheels and look far better than the standard black plastic ones. They are prone to being nicked, but at this price, who cares! (I pinch mine on with a spanner!)Put some vaseline, or similar, on the threaded part of the valve stem, to stop them seizing solid, which they will after a while!Overall, very pleased with these.
