Great product!
I ordered these to block sun in a large West-facing room with five big windows. They are pretty great at darkening the room, and immediately prevent sun glare on the TV.I installed them inside the window frame so they could be virtual invisible. They don't block out all of the light because of this, as light gets through around the edges. If they went over the window frame, I don't think much light would get around at all.No issues with installing the brackets, easy to unscrew the battery compartment, and easy to take down and put back on the brackets. The price was great, I may order more.I also ordered the 15-channel remote and the WiFi Bridge to work with my existing smart home app. Works perfectly!

Not sure if it is worth the work
I have taken a considerable amount of time to really think about this product and decide how I feel about it and what I really want to say.I admittedly didn't read the description as closely as I should have and didn't realize I would need to make additional purchases to convert what I bought was a smart shade to a "Smart Shade" that could be used with an app and Alexa. Looking back, the information is there but it really and truly isn't as clear as it should be. But I'll come back to that.I'm not really impressed with the quality. The plastic feels reasonable but the screws for the top to access the side were put in crookedly. The "clear" sections of the shade are very fragile. Very. Mine began to fray after maybe a week of use. The solid sections of panels weren't even, but I was unable to get a photo of this. When I put the shade up with my grey curtains, they were incredibly BLUE in comparison. I know there are different shades of grey but it was too extreme for me and I ended up ordering new curtains in blue. There is a bar at the bottom of the curtain with clear plastic things to assist in the rolling down and up of the shade. It's useless. The piece that extends out to keep the pole in the curtain is too short so this bar frequently slides out when you are trying to get this set up.If you just want something that will work with a remote then this is fine other than the quality issues. The included instructions show an indicator light... the model I ordered apparently didn't have a light or it isn't working. The actual set up trying to make this a smart shade was a nightmare. I thought I needed a bridge/hub thing. So I ordered one from another company - not the one from Grandekor. Didn't work. So I ordered the transponder for an additional $30 (you can find it here: https://amzn.to/3P0eNKC ).The instructions for both of these items were not great. YouTube was unable to help. The Grandekor website didn't really offer much help either - BUT I was able to find the transponder instructions (see photo).Emitter = remoteI already had the Tuya app so I signed in. I connected the transponder to the App. Then I attempted to connect the emitter to the transponder. The instructions on the manual are useless because they're for the multi-channel remote and not the single channel. You MUST open the back of the remote. I didn't realize this. This is where you will find the "S" button. This is also where you will find the Admin/User switch and the up/down buttons. Please note.... the up/down buttons do not refer to the up/down buttons on the front.I wish I could tell you pairing the remote/emitter with the transponder was easy but it was not. I repeated the instructions for a solid 10-15 minutes or more switching between Admin/User settings. My best guess is..... switch emitter to "user" mode. Then I tried a series of "S" twice on the remote and once on the transponder. The I tried doing it in reverse. Honestly, I did so many things and started just pushing stuff without knowing what was being retained that when it eventually paired I have NO idea how it happened. I am literally too afraid of undoing it and not being able to replicate it in order to share it with you. It was stressful.Once paired with the transponder, Alexa understood instructions to open and close the shade. Then I set the High/low of the shade. You need to change the switch on the back to Admin. To set the highest point, use the up/down buttons on the front to get the shade where you want it. Press the up arrow on the back of the remote for 2 seconds and the motor will rotate one time. This sets that point as your highest point. To set the lowest point, again use the up/down buttons on the front to get the shade where you want the bottom to be. Then push the down arrow on the back of the remote for 2 secondsNow that it is done, I don't ever want to do it again. If you aren't worried about the lower quality and just want to use the remote - this might be great. If this is going to be in an area where pets or kids can access or you want something easy to set up... this probably isn't for you. Also, the hub thing I bought? Totally useless and I can't return it. So trying to get this to be a smart shade cost me as much if not more than the shade itself. I realize the hub was my fault, but... there just isn't enough clarity as to what is needed. All you need is the transponder and a TON of patience.

Seems a good quality and design but wrong/missing features
I liked the description and I still like the blinds after opening them but two big problems, I purchased motorized and with remotes and side mount option. I received NO remote, NOT motorized, and to be mounted from the top (this turned out okay in my case). If the seller can exchange my order, I think they “seem” very good quality, does the job, and easy to install securely. Will update the review on quality since I need 5 more and this was a test purchase.

For a little more money just buy the rechargeable ones
I returned these because altho it worked well they had another brand with same exact blinds but rechargeable. I don’t want to have to climb on ladder to take down these down, buy batteries to have for backup, tediously remove the plastic casing and hope not to break it when changing batteries and then put them back up again. Way too much work when these exist for a small amount more and are rechargeable.Battery operated is outdated and for blinds way too much work to change every 6-8 months. I give them 3 stars because they work but just not made convenient enough for long term use. This brand does make rechargeable version BUT you need to customize and they charge twice for that while the other brand has most sizes already available at same price as those battery ones.

False advertisement scam.
Advertised as smart in a small portion of the listing, arrives in box starting its smart and can be used with voice assistants, contact seller and they state it is not smart! Then they direct you to purchase one of their other products as if they can be trusted now! False advertisement!
