FreshaTank Water Tank Cleaner, Toilet and Waterbutt Treatment Freshener

What a good buy this was, does what it says. Well worth it. Easy to use to keep the water clear and free from Algae.

This item helped our water in the waterbutt stop smelling and restored the water's appearance in no time. I keep forgetting to clean the waterbutt and yet since the cleaner is permanently located in the butt, it does seem to clean itself. Great product.

I admit I was a little sceptical when I bought two of these last year. However they have kept my water butts clear of murk so to buy two more when I added more butts was a no-brainier. They are not cheap but that they work is more important.

I was hugely sceptical about this, but bought it anyway. My Fish tank was suffering from a never-before experienced algae bloom, it was very weird i have an external water filter & have experienced nothing like this before. So, out of desperation mainly i bought one of these. After ~1month I thought i had been duped! Then at around the 2month mark i noticed the algae receding..... and it continued. I haven't changed any of the water and it is now crystal clear, the glass is nearly 100% clear, the gravel just has a couple of small patches left but in remission! the ornaments (driftwood & rocks) are clean too - i thought i was going to have to replace/boil the hell out of to clean!! Crazy! It WORKS!! just do as it suggests & give it a couple months!

I'm unsure as to whether it works, although I will give it time and see if I see results and will update my review in a month or two. Updating my review I do seem to see a difference with this in the tank the water quality is crystal clear and looks very fresh. and the glass is spotless no silt, however for the germ free and low risk of parasites etc I'm not so sure about that because my fish developed white spot and I lost quite a few of them to this I have treated the fish and they are back to normal now but I have taken this out for the time being I'm not blaming this for the white spot but I am pointing out that although it says it can eliminate parasites/germs and help prevent fish disease well this is obviously in my case not true.

What can I say ? I’ve been using these products for about 7 years and have only replaced them once. Drop a couple into my water butt, and forget about them until I give the butt its once-in-a-year clean. They appear to do what they are designed for. I expect them to do the job for about 5 years.

Used in our water butts 2 years ago I was sceptical at first . Recently bought another water butt and didn’t bother with this After 6 months this water butt smelt and had to be cleaned. After cleaning I inserted one of these not sure how it works but appears to work for me

Bought this for our ponies' water trough, I liked that I could just drop it in there and it'd keep the water from going green and make it healthier for the ponies. Unfortunately it doesn't seem to be doing anything at all, I'm fishing big clumps of algae out every day and the disc itself is covered in gunk so I can't see how it can be treating the water as it's not in contact with it. It's only a small automatic water drinker in the field which holds far less water than a water butt so I don't understand why it doesn't work.

Das Material scheint rhodiniert-versilbertes Plastik zu sein. Etwas dichter als Wasser, damit es nicht schwimmt. Hatte mit einer Silberblechmarke gerechnet. Vom Materialpreis her ist das völlig überteuert, aber wenn es dann funktioniert, soll es mir recht sein. Ob das für Trinkwasser beim Camping geeignet ist weiß ich nicht, für das Brauchwasser dürfte es gehen und den Tank blande halten.
