Is it ok to use to clean a gas cooker hob?

If by glass you refer to ceramic, the answer is definitely yes you can.

Does this leave smears?

Haven't found it to leave smears. I apply with kitchen paper towel then rinse off and buff using Lakeland Ceramic Hob cloth set. Hob looks like new. Also advisable to give bottle a good shake before using.

Does this work with glass top hobs?

I use mine on my ceramic hob, together with the recommended scraper, brings it up like new. Its brilliant to use, so easy and the dirt/spills are easy to wipe away leaving the hob gleaming again. I have never used it on my glass oven door but I will give it a try tomorrow and get back to you.

Would it damage steel or glass? I have tried it once on my kitchen steel sink and it got rid of the limescale!

I doubt if it would it says for all hobs. It is bar far the best cleaner I have used on an induction hob. I also use it for the chrome in the oven. There is a spray stainless polish in Wilco I use for my Stainless pans but I think for hobs the hob bright is probably best unless you have polished steel then I would clean with hob bright and polish with the other stuff. I am a bit odd when it comes to cleaning though

This is farely runny product it is easy to use. Wipes off with damp cloth. A little goes a long way. Use a piece of kitchen roll to apply and this even gets rid of the baked in marks easily. Great value for money and lasts a long time.
