Works WAY better than expected
I use this in Cozumel. It works WAY better than I expected.I typically use it in the 0' to 15' range. The beam does not significantly scatter/diffuse.I am able to see the green line even in day.If I shine it on an object 20'-30' feet away, I can see it, but barely (daytime). My divemasters like it so well I bought each of them one and provided it in lieu of a tip the next time I went down.Don't worry about trying to find a replacement battery. It comes with a rechargeable battery that has a built-in charging port on the battery. It is just an 18650 battery with a charging port built-in.It is a bit taller, due to the recharging circuit attached to the battery. In fact, I just use 18650 batteries. I had to stretch the spring in the cap just a bit to make up for the difference in height. (Yes, it still works with the original battery).

very nice dive laser
this laser is quite bright, only tested in a pool so far but worked very well. for those who are having an issue finding extra batteries, 18650 batteries will work but are a tad loose in the housing, the streamlight sl-b26 batteries are an exact match in size.

Impressive Quality
As far as Chinese lasers go I am actually decently impressed with this one. The threads are very smooth and anodized, and the O-ring seems good quality and is well lubricated out of the box. The top half of the laser unscrews from the bottom half to remove and charge the battery, and as far as I can tell this is the only part of the laser that disassembles or has threads. The body is thick machined aluminum and has some heft to it, and there is no rattling at all when the laser is fully assembled. The green anodized bezel around the laser emitter makes it very easy to visually identify which end is which. The button is metal and depresses fairly linearly, and there is a click at the end of the button stroke, but it has some mush to it. I assume this is the waterproofing, but it does make the button very mushy feeling instead of definitive. It's not my preferred style of button, but it works just fine. The button stands out proud from the body of the light so would be very usable with gloves on.The included battery has a USB-C port on the battery itself. Very convenient, and no charging port on the laser to worry about leaking. The included lanyard is very basic, and I would recommend upgrading to something more substantial if you'll be using this for diving. It works fine, but would likely wear out within a month if you used it daily. The beam is just slightly visible in a dim room, and would likely be very visible in dark conditions. It is waterproof to the extent that I can test, about 8 feet, and seems built solid enough to go much deeper. I don't have the capabilities to truly test its depth claim of 100 meters, but I'm sure it would work in normal recreational depths around 100 feet or so.Overall I think this is a well thought out, and well built diving laser. It feels high quality and the beam is very well focused. I can see this being very useful for diving instructors or guides, to point out key features easily. It could potentially even be used to get the attention of distracted divers before they get into danger.

ARCHON J1 Scuba Diving Signal Light with Green Beam Type-C
This is advertised as a flashlight on the product page. Make no mistake this is no flashlight, this is a LASER and a very bright one at that.Seeing as the product page deceptively advertises this as a flashlight but it is instead a green laser pointer, I will review it as such. This laser pointer is made of an all aluminum body and seems very durable. I can not speak to the product’s water resistance. This laser is green and it is very bright! The product page does not provide any information as to this laser’s power, but It doesn’t seem to be powerful enough to burn or generate much heat, but it is bright enough to cause PERMANENT damage to your eyes, so do NOT shine this laser in yours, anyone else’s or your pet’s eyes as this is not a laser that should be used as a cat toy. It is much too powerful for that and you will most certainly damage your pet’s eyes, even if only for a second. Lasers such as this are incredibly dangerous and you should always wear proper eye protection rated for the wavelength of the laser you are using (in this case between 500nm-559nm).An interesting fact about green lasers and why they appear much brighter than red. The human eye is most sensitive to the color green and a green laser will appear roughly 30 times brighter than a red or blue laser of the same power.Would I recommend this product? Since this product is advertised as a flashlight but is actually a laser, no I would not recommend this product. As a laser, it seems to be a decent laser for the price.
