Let me first qualify how much I hate slipping on ice and snow, so ANYTHING that stops me from falling over is always of great interest.These grips attach to the underside of your existing shoes or boots to offer a claw-like grip to whatever surface is beneath you.LIKES------1. Pretty solid rubber and the metal "claws" seem very rigid, which is exactly what is required.2. There are 7 claws at the front of the toe area and 4 at the heel of the snow grips.3. Has an extra strap to secure around each ankle.4. The front of the grips has a good curvature for the toe area to fit snuggly into the device.DISLIKE----------1. The rear of the grips needed to be curved around the ankle, as this may become uncomfortable after a while.CONCLUSION----------------I came up with a solution for the heel issue, as I looped the heel part over on itself and was able to achieve a more snug fit to my shoe. These snow grips worked on my trainers and will likely work on boots too. Good to have these as although we do not have snow as yet, the weather is unpredictable and these will save me from buying snow boots.Good buy to ensure you are ready for ice and snow, and they do not take up the space of huge snow boots. Would be good to keep a pair of these in the boot of the car in colder weather, should there be an unexpected snowfall.

I was surprised how good the quality of these snow shoes are. I bought them because of the change in the weather and warnings of snow and ice.I am a size 8 shoe and ordered the large size and they fit perfectly. Easy to put on and very secure. I am sure it wont be long before i get the chance to use them but I have no doubt that they will do the job perfectly.For the price, they are a great item to have ready in waiting for the snow to arrive or if you are someone who goes out walking in the countryside etc they are a must to have, easy to pack in your backpack, lightweight and could be a life saver. These ice grippers are so good and comfortable. able to run with my normal turnover and style and when we did hit some clear trail or tarmac I was able to continue as before with no impact on grip or stability. Going uphill or down, I was able to run hard or easy with no slipping or sliding at all. Removal is as easy as putting them on and they fold down so they are quite compact and could easily be stowed in a small bag or race vest- with a strap at the back and tighten the Velcro fastener.20 second job, the metal coils give you great grip. this is my second pair because i gave other one to my elderly neighbor - he is so happy about it.

These have allowed me to leave the house, after three days stuck inside because the pavement outside my house is very icy and dangerous. Previously I had the spring type but one bounced off one day never to be seen again, so it's good that these have straps to keep them on. These feel sturdy and safe. They are fine walking outside on places where it isn't icy but may be a little slippery on shops' smooth floors. I showed them to many people today who were having a difficult time on the ice, when they asked how I was walking so confidently, and they all asked where I had got them.

They are pretty snug fit on my boots, no problem with them slipping off or rolling. It is nice that they are very light weight, I can hang them on my daypack or even from my belt. This is a solid looking product. It fits my shoes well and it looks like it won't fall off. Ice season isn't here yet so I can't honestly speak to the functionality on ice but the cleats look awesome and should grab ice and packed snow really well. The cleats are also well atached and I don't anticipate any reliability issues.
