Kuhn Rikon Piranha Swivel Peeler with Serrated Blade, Red, Plastic

I had been struggling for a while with another peeler, which could barely do the job it was supposed to do.After purchasing this peeler, I can do the veggies in under a quarter of the time.It is absolutely razor sharp and effortless at peeling, but just remember to be carful as this will take a chunk out of you if used incorrectly.

Great item, the tiny serations on the blade cut into anything.

This is my third one. Love it. Won’t use anything else now that I have one.

This thing peels. Like nothing else! Apples in one long peel? Check! How about mangos? I would normally use a knife for this wonderful fruit but this peeler's super sharp serrated blades dig right under the thick skin for a clean peel. Mangos in one long peel? Check!Due to the serrated edges and the blade digging in it does peel off a little more than needed for carrots and some types of spuds so I use a regular peeler for those bad boys.But beware... the blades are REALLY sharp so if you store your utensils in a drawer you're more likely to remove a few layers of skin while rummaging around in the drawer. As my peelers do reside in a drawer I ended up creating a snug little sleeve for it which I'm sure has cut down on much blood loss. It really should come with some form of protective case or sleeve to begin with.That said still the best peeler ever :)

Wow, what can I say? It's impressive: impressively sharp and easy to use. You can peel any fruit or veg without any pressure at all and slicing the thinnest skins off.Down side: it's also wickedly easy to slice a bit of your own skin off. Definitely not for children or anyone with motor skill problems.In contrast to the instructions and to what some other reviews mentioned, it can still be used by "pullers". I peel towards the thumb because it is so much more stable and controlled for me. Yes, caution is adviced, but it most definitely can still be cone.Because it is so wickedly sharp I found it also works great as a cheese slicer!

I’ve recently misplaced the peeler I’ve had for many years. I can only imagine that it went into the bin with the peelings. I tried a number of cheap replacements with no luck at all - some of them didn’t have the right to be called peelers as they couldn’t manage this basic task at all.I spotted this one and I thought spending over £5 on it was crazy. It arrived next day, well packaged as always. I prepared some potatoes for mashing along with some carrots and I was very impressed with the speed and peeling - it was so much better than my lost peeler. It is very sharp , so you need to be a bit careful with it as you wouldn’t want to skin your pinkies! My left handed son has also given it a go and had no problem whatsoever. The only other thing I’ve tried to peel is a Kiwi fruit and that was fine.My only slight gripe is that you often get a fine spray from the potato and this goes onto the outside of the bin and the sleeve of whatever top I have on and that is not ideal. I don’t think that is enough to take a star from my final rating - 5* from me - thoroughly recommended.

I have used these type of peelers on and of over the years, always ended up going back to using a knife for doing the potatoes, then I came across this one, ok let’s give it a go i thought expecting it to be the same as all the others, but wow it was so easy to use and soooo sharp, so pleasant to use, sorry to be so excited about peeling potatoes, but it was a pleasant experience and it stays sharp so when washing it please be careful.You will not be disappointed I’m sure.

I bought this Peeler for Tomatoes and Red Peppers. It works beyond my expectation! it is sharp and easy to use.The arch red part ensures that no peel gets stuck during peeling.Not only, I use it for what I initially bought it for, but I also use it to make Courgette Fettucini.I love it and highly recommend it !
