I bought the first lamp for my father-in-law. He lives in Puerto Rico and for many years have use insecticide in spray to kill mosquitos inside his bedroom because there was nothing that could to get rid of them. For years, he has been inhaling the fumes and touched his skin (needless to say, the unhealthy consequences of this practice are showing). From the moment he connected the lamp to an outlet, does not have the need to spray insecticide anymore. The lamp is so incredible, he carries it to other part of the house, and he loves to hear the sound it makes. Now everyone in the family ordered one for their own. I have bought 5 lamps in 2 months so far, I bought the last one for me. I live in FL and my lanai does not have screened, I hope it works as well as on PR.

It seems to work pretty well. I got it to contain fruit flies in my indoor plants. It doesn't get them all, but I can hear them getting zapped from time to time so it helps.After 60 days of continuous use, mine died. I looked inside and one of the capacitors was smoked ... and there are a lot of them.I contacted Aspectek about getting it replaced under warranty. They asked for a "short video" and the Amazon order number and my address. The video was weird ... I took a video of me plugging it in and it didn't light up. The order number was easy.The same day they responded and said that they would ship a replacement. It arrived 3 days later. No questions, no hassles.45 days later, the replacement died. Same as the first one. This time they will not replace the replacement, even though the original warranty should still cover it.We have the rectangular one from Aspectek and it has lasted for years. I suggest you try that one instead of this one.

This bug zapper works harder than an ugly stripper! At first, I thought it was malfunctioning because it was popping off every couple of seconds, but as it turns out, there were just a ridiculous amount of bugs on my front porch, and it was just doing its job. 10/10 especially for the price!!!! 🤑

This product is definitely worth 5 stars. I plugged it in the bedroom at 5:30 pm and by the time I made it to the kitchen, ZAPP! Most likely a pantry moth.The only downside is there's no off/on switch. You have to plug it in and unplug it.

UPDATE: I did give this a five (5) star rating at first and I left it below for all to see. I purchased a total of 2 of these for my home. Bathroom, Kitchen and Living room because the first one performed so well as you will read below. But now, Only 2 of them work less than 1.5 months later. So I reduced it star rating to a 3 (END OF UPDATE).I have had a gnat problem for about 2 or 3 weeks. No matter what chemicals I was using, no matter what traps I was using like glue strips etc, the problem was getting worse. I even purchased a trash can chemical stick strip and that didn't get rid of my problem.So I purchased this indoor/out door zapper and immediately I thought there was a problem. It kept going off loudly every second and sometimes 20 times per every 10 seconds. This trap wasn't waiting for a bug to fly into it, it was attracting them rapidly. 2 days after deploying this in my home, I'm gnat free.Oh, I'll see a gnat every now and then, set this on a counter or my desk and BOOM. Any flying insects in the room immediately runs to it and away we go. I got this item on sale, and when I went back to get another one for my deck, they were sold out. When this comes back in stock (provided the price doesn't spike) I'm getting another.
