This is my 2nd pair of the swimming trunks. I like the 1st one so much I bought a second pair when the first pair wore out. The material is nice and stretchy when you sit down and they dry out fast when you get out of the water. After they've bee6n worn in the water and washed a few times, the mesh lining gets very soft. My only complaint is the Velcro tabs on the back pocket wears out after a while, so the pocket is always hanging open. It's a minor complaint and I still rate the shorts as 5 stars. I am a 34" waist in jeans and found the large to be a bit tight, so I went with the XL.

I have been a fitness person for over 25 years. I enjoy weight lifting and cardio training that includes biking, running and heavy bag workouts. I also train others in the areas of fitness and performance optimization and have done so professionally for the past 18 years. With that as my background, I have to say I absolutely love these shorts.Comfort: The materials are great, giving a sturdy but light feel to them. They fit very well and are comparable to finding that perfect running shoe. I chose my size by using the company size ordering chart, and the waistband fits beautifully. It's snug like well-fitting items are supposed to be. Not too loose, not too tight. I can enjoy a long run but not worry about losing them if I dive head first into the water. The liner is an equally good fit that provides support to the groin area, allowing for high impact cardio sessions without fear of having a testicle bouncing up into the groin cavity (something that has actually happened to a colleague of mine when he wore boxer shorts under his sweat pants while on a run).Versatility: As mentioned, the overall fit provides for a great range of motion in the waist and leg areas so they are a very versatile set of shorts that are extremely comfortable to lift, bike, run or swim in. As far as the look of them goes, they don't scream "workout gear" so I can get away with wearing these shorts with a golf shirt and flip flops to a restaurant at the beach. The shorts come with two main front pockets capable of holding the typical wallet/phone/keys, and a small zippered pocket in the right main pocket that can hold a key, fob, or a small training supplement/nutrient pack on a run. They also have a rear pocket that can be held closed with the attached velcro strip, and an attached bungee loop for holding a light miscellaneous item.Durability: I can't say too much about that yet. I've only had them a couple of months but so far, so good. I'll up this review after a few more months.Customer support: Again, hard to say at this point, since I haven't needed to do a return for any reason. But I will say that the company reached out to me shortly after I made my purchase wanting to ensure I was satisfied. That's always a good start. They welcomed constructive criticism. Another good omen, so I told them about my only two critiques below. I received an email the next day letting me know they received my feedback and would consider it in the future. So by all indications, their customer service seems on track.Main criticisms: There are only 2 things keeping me from rating them a full 5 stars: 1- There is a tag on the inside rear seam. It puts a scratchy feeling at the base of your spine which completely undoes all of the efforts to make these things extremely pleasurable to wear. It's an easy fix as the tag is pretty simple to cut off, but it's just a pain to have to do. 2-It would be useful to have a small split hem on the outside of the legs to make squatting or lateral leg stretches easier. Nothing crazy, maybe an inch in length. I think it would add to the versatility while still keeping the subdued look that lets me meet someone for lunch before I go for that bike ride.These criticisms are nit-picky things. After I bought my first pair, I sent these suggestions to the company and then I quickly ordered two more. Bottom line, if you're shopping for workout shorts, and especially if you're gearing up for a bi or triathlon, you owe it to yourself to give these a try. You won't regret it.

I spend a lot of time in pool for physical therapy and exercise so I looking for a less expensive suit. I wear an XXL and this suit was fine at the waist but tight at the hips. My body not the suits fault. The pockets with zippers and loop in the back might be useful. I wear out a least a swimsuit a year and I will not replace this one. Again not the right fit for me

Bought one pair to try out as my other swim trunks are all the board short bulky brightly colored patterns kind. I was Looking for solid colors, lightweight, comfortable of course, and wanted a decent zipper pocket. Bought one pair to check size and fit - I normally order a 38 waist typically XL, but other reviewers said to go bigger on size so I ordered XXL and glad I did. The XXL fits well but is none to big. I wear these walking a par 3 golf course and the trunks are comfortable, airy, and work well for that. I gave 4 stars on workout because I wore these in a water aerobics class and Jumping up and down quickly in the water several times in succession the backside tended to drag down my butt a little even though I had the waist string tied fairly snuggly. These trunks had side seam pockets - which I find useless - and a small zippered pocket just inside the right seam pocket - which might be good for a little pocket change - but I also found it to be too small and useless. For example, the zippered pocket is too small for a credit card or hotel room key to be secured. If the maker is taking suggestions I suggest that good zippers be added to the two side seam pockets. I also like the shorter seam on the trunks.Regardless, I liked these trunks well enough that I ordered two more pair so I had one in each color. I have a lot of colorful shirts to go with the solid color shorts.Thanks!

These shorts are great workout shorts: soft to the touch, fit just right, and have adequate support. When the material has to stretch, there is no constriction — it just moves with you. I have a 32-33 waist, and I lift, so my legs are a bit bigger than off-the-shelf shorts can accommodate. Usually, I have to sacrifice fit at the waist in order to get the legs to fit properly. These shorts are perfect. PLUS, I can jump in the pool right after! The construction and material is excellent, without any bunching, gapping, or clinging like plastic wrap. Quick-dry, and comfortable in and out of the water.One of the pairs I bought had a slight imperfection: a couple of very small holes, as if a paper clip poked through in two spaces. Barely noticeable, but I did mention it to customer service. I told them I did not plan on returning them, and it wasn’t a big deal, just wanted them to know in case it was preventable on their end. Within a couple of hours of my email to them, I received a reply that they were refunding my purchase price, and I did not have to return the shorts. What?!?I had bought a pair of black and a pair of grey...the grey had the damage. I went online that evening and bought a pair of the red. If they had more colors, I would buy those, too. (Not a fan of Navy, that’s the 4th and final color they offer, as far as I know).So, for me and my body type, a wonderful product. Above-and-Beyond Customer Service is, unfortunately, remarkable these days.
