Britain and the Great War: a depth study (Discovering the Past for GCSE)

This is an outstanding introduction to the Great War. It is highly appropriate for Key Stage 3 History, although the style is somewhat dated by modern standards in education. I would certainly recommend it to other teachers as a basic introduction to the topic at this level. Pictures are clear and appropriate. Indeed the SHP series is excellent.

Very good introduction to the subject. Couple of errors on well known photographs should have been spotted.

Still really useful: it's diverse, well-organised and thorough. Great for KS3 or GCSE.
