Almost Perfect
I needed some green lights to display for St Patrick’s Day, so when I came across these I thought, I can’t get a better deal, for two strands of 30 lights each!!!! I specifically wanted the battery operated kind, with the timer, as I either don’t remember to turn them off, or I may not be home to do that, so the timer is very helpful. The amount of lights is great, 30 on each strand, that’s a lot. They look beautiful!!! The brightness is perfect, and I’m using Dollar Tree batteries, nothing expensive. The ONLY downfall, on one of the strands, the timer does not work, so you can imagine the disappointment when I saw one strand off, and the other still on after setting the timer. I did not bother returning them because this was something I needed ASAP, plus I did not want to go through the hassle. The fact that the timer did not work on one was probably a fluke thing, and the odds of it happening again are probably slim. So with that being the only negative, (which was the reason for the 4 stars) I absolutely would recommend these lights, and buy them again myself.

Very pretty lights perfect for small project
These lights were perfect for a small Halloween project I was working on. The lights are bright enough and the timer function is really helpful. I’m hoping the lights and batteries hold up through Halloween at least. Overall great purchase.**update** I’m a little bummed at the quality of these lights. After a few weeks they have dimmed significantly and are not nearly as bright. I tried changing the batteries but it didn’t help.

Super bright, great battery life, excellent design
Bought these for my trip to Burning Man in the Nevada desert this year. Originally bought them to wrap around my bike frame but then discovered the wire will hold its shape if bent so I put these on a cowboy hat by wrapping the wire around the edge of the brim and then around the round center part. I wrapped the battery pack in a plastic bag (it's not fully sealed) and zip-tied it onto the back of the hat. The wire, itself, was not actually fastened to the hat but it stayed put extremely well through all sorts of climbing and high-wind scenarios just being bent around the rim. The lights were so bright that I rode my bike out in the desert in complete pitch-black darkness and could see 10-15 feet in front of myself, like my hat was a headlamp.I had the lights on for 4-6 hours every night for almost a full week before I changed the batteries and they weren't even dead yet, just dim. I was using nice Energizer batteries, however, but I was still very impressed with the battery life. At the end of the week, the lights were completely covered in sand/dust and had been sprayed with water, whiskey, beer, etc. and still work like new. Should last for another year at Burning Man if I don't lose them.TL;DR: Very bright, last forever, very durable and positionable wire make these OUTSTANDING lights for the price!

Works Well For Jar Lighting
I bought a pink, blue, and green strand to put in French canning jars for the front porch and am impressed with the color hues and brightness. Burning through 9 AA batteries every two weeks seems excessive so I think I will be limiting usage to 4 hours per evening and cutting them on/off manually. The only complaint I have concerns the sliding doors on the batter boxes themselves; they do require some manipulating to get them on/off successfully without breaking. But overall pleased with the quality of the purchase.

Battery-powered micro LEDs
So, I have this replica of an oil-burning ships' lantern. I wouldn't try lighting it for anything, 'cause I'm not sure how well it's soldered together, but I was catching suggestions that it needed to be lit as a Christmas decoration. After searching Amazon, I discovered RTGS made sets of 20 micro- LEDs powered by 3 AA batteries. After estimating the size of the battery pack, I purchased 4 sets: warm white, red, blue and green. The LEDs are on thin, silvery wire that bends easily into whatever configuration is useful, and from any distance over about 10 feet, the wires are all but invisible.I was able to stuff the lantern globe full of the red and green lights and tuck the battery-packs up into the metal chimney-shroud where they were out of sight but gave good access to the switches. The effect was a huge success! The lights look like tiny red-and-green constellations, and everyone was very happy with my efforts. The blue and white lights will allow the lantern to be used for various holidays. All 4 sets work and provide bright, pure-colored light. It's too early to know about the battery life yet, but the first sets I've installed have held up well, showing no signs of giving out after about 24 hrs of use so far. I'm very happy with these lights, I'd recommend them to anyone who wanted this kind of lighting, and I'd buy more in a heartbeat.
