Works as intended!
I'm an otr truck driver. My Suburban sits for a month or 2 at a time. After my second battery died, I replaced it and bought one of these because something is killing my batteries while I'm out (probably just sitting for so long). I had to modify it but still works as it should! Very pleased with this product. I just hope the plastic base holds up with the modifications I did. If not it's my fault for modifying obviously but so far so good. Would highly recommend for anyone that needs a quick disconnect.

Cannot be converted to horizontal throw
This switch is probably fine if you want a vertical throw, but that's not why I ordered one. Contrary to the description, the switch that was delivered to me cannot be converted to a 'horizontal' throw. One end of the switch is formed so that the only flat side on the base (for mounting) is for the vertical orientation - also, there are no mounting holes if you lay it over on its side even if it was flat. The other end of the switch has a flat side and a hole presumably for mounting - but the hole isn't threaded.
