Just received...Seems sturdy... Hope, works as expected... Looks good...

Makes a good cup of coffee but...
I needed a new small French Press. The Sipologie details on Amazon looked good and reasonably priced, so ordered..Arrived on time, and works. Minus points are that the glass tumbler is very thin and I'm worried about its durability and crack resistance. But what was appalling was the packaging. You probably won't publish this, but I'll describe it anyway: The unit arrived in its thin cardboard box, luckily well padded with foam pads, but WITHOUT ANY OUTSIDE PROTECTION OR CARDBOARD/PLASTIC PROTECTION from the seller or Amazon...the cardboard box was soaking wet (Mumbai monsoon, remember?!) and falling apart (see delivery photos). It's a miracle the glass tumbler wasn't broken or cracked. Utterly unprofessional and thoughtless. So 4* for the product, but -000* for packaging.

Where were you all my life !
This is the easiest and non messy way to make a quick cup of black coffee. I have tried all kinds of machines and this is the easiest if you follow the proper time to allow seeping.

It has a plastic part which comes in contact with boiling water.
It's ok. I was very annoyed to find the top-inner-black part made of plastic. Don't people know that when boiling water touches plastic, the plastic leaches harmful chemical toxins?! I mean do people even use their brains anymore? Maybe that will also be illegal soon. Does not matter what grade the plastic is, if it comes in contact with boiling water, it is going to leach chemicals. Anyway I had to unscrew and remove that upper inner black part, now it has lost its sturdiness. But that ok, better than being poisoned on a daily basis. Sad!

Small, sturdy and pretty
The first time I ordered this, it came in pieces and Amazon replaced it promptly.It's quite small, about 600 ml in capacity (2 mugs). The press is decently sturdy and has two filters (plus an extra in the box) so not a lot of coffee sediment at the bottom. The glass is sturdy and the overall vintage look is nice.
