A very expensive cleaning product especially if bought direct from Miele, but as the machine was extra expensive for a cup of coffee I suppose one has to accept that keeping it in good running order doesn't come cheap. I does make lovely coffee though.

Although I am all for savings, I want to avoid expenses tenfold sliding down the road; I only want to reap the benefits of my investment for an extended period, to use it free of unwanted spending or emotional complications.About a year ago, I invested in a “bean to cup” virtually in no time Miele Espresso Machine; I have loved it ever since. Since I decided to invest a lavish amount of money in an Espresso Machine, I want it to outlast the maximum expectancy and not just the given warranty.The average life span of a Fully Automatic Espresso Machine is ten years, give and take, and I remain hopeful that servicing on time has its rewards.What about the Descaling activity?Choosing various Descaling Products, Incorrect Doses of Descaling or Incorrect Doses of Descaling Ingredients, against the manufacturer's recommendations, might be too harsh for Miele and can ruin vibratory pumps, boiler probes, valves, etc. - notably with a Descaling outcome very different from the actual intended effect. The machine has an automatic cleaning function and does a fantastic job of guiding me through the whole Descaling process. After Descaling, I always ensure to Rinse the machine at least twice; it flashes out all residual pipe particles and leaves a clean and fresh smell.Using Universal Descaling Tablets only saves a few bucks; not worth forfeiting the warranty.With proper use and care, the machine will outperform for several years longer than expected.Does a handful argue that Descaling Miele products are Expensive?Expensive is a state of mind; instead, I would use the term value rather than expensive.Expensive is a general term, as for most products of this type, “Expensive “ is the term that defines the product's value. Nonetheless, I also want to highlight the significance of the “grade of repairability.”The easiest and highest the level of repair of any product is, the more often that product breaks. Miele Products can reach flawless performance for an extended period, while others obtain thumbs down much sooner. And as a humble reminder, The first and second place of highly favored Descaling Products belongs to Miele Brand due to Its Correct Doses and optimum components.What about the Water and Locations?The high volume of unanimous information and advice often leads to misrepresentation and confusion among people more interested in learning.A quick search for a US Hard Water Map reveals ample information. As mentioned elsewhere, “An overwhelming eighty-five percent of The USA has hard water, so the likelihood that one lives in a state or city with hard water is very high.Ancient seabeds covered most of the US, which left high concentrations of limestone in the “hard” to “extremely hard” regions. Regardless of the Location, almost everywhere across The USA is hard water.There are five zones of hardness, varying from Extremely Hard to Slightly Hard, with Moderate Hard, Hard, and Very Hard in between. Although “Soft Water” results from Water Treatment, Only fifteen percent of The USA has Naturally Occurring Soft Water.”With that said, I decided to follow “The Freaks Rule.” I Descale Only with Miele Tablets when the Machine prompts, and at the end of every day, I rinse the milk pipe and the machine; I take out all removable trays, rinse, and dry with microfiber.The removable brew unit is the most critical component; it produces the magic elixir.I rinse it daily, letting it dry overnight.One of the daily indulgences, I adore is Cappuccino in the morning and Macchiato as an afternoon pick-me-up. I enjoy my coffee anytime, with a view!
