A Handy Little Device
This electric fence tester is very useful and gives me peace of mind when tucking my hens up at night. When I switch my electric fence on, even though the little light is flashing, I do need to know that the voltage is adequate and is going to act as a deterrent to the foxes and badgers at night who may want to feast on my rather appetising hens. When the fence is switched on you simply place the metal bar, situated on the back of the device, onto the wire, press the button on the front and the light indicator pulsates to the voltage level, thereby letting me know that the electrical current is running through the wire. It is that simple. The size is about 2 inches long and fits easily into the hand. A little word of warning, when holding it on the wire, be careful not to allow your fingers to slip under and inadvertently touch the live wire, it does smart a bit if this happens but you will survive!!!

Hotline fence tester
Save's my having to touch the fence when the wife says it's not working. Also saves the dog's nose!! Good product - a little overpriced as it looks a bit flimsy. Fit for purpose though

Seems like a good machine at first.
I have finally given up with the hotline fence tester, having had 3 of them in the last year, they just give up working after using them a very few times, I am now looking for another brand. I also had to change the power unit to another brand. I have no confidence in this brand anymore!

Good device
Really happy with this, its fits in my pocket and doesn't require a wire to be stuck in the ground. Easy to use.

Quick refund from Equestrian & Country Leisure
I bought this item from Equestrian & Country Leisure. It arrived promptly but the batteries in it were flat. I replaced them and complained to the seller. To their credit they immediately offered to refund the cost of the batteries and have now done. The product works well and I would definitely use E&CL again as they acted promptly and courteously.

bought before .Very good tester for rope or wire. have spare and/orbatteries though. tend to run out of juice after a time,just when you need it
