I bought this for Christmas 22 to go round the Tree and waited until after the festivities to submit review. It has been brilliant running with out fault.Packaging is good, all parts are in a formed polystyrene tray inside cardboard container.Straightforward to put together and start up, clear instructions. The battery which is very easy to remove and replace is charged by USB cable included. Once charged runs for hours and it does steam as it runs. Everything is plastic but strong and looks nice.Great value for money.

My 5yr old grandson absolutely loves this train set and is mesmerised by the steam function. He hasn't stopped playing with it since his birthday.

I was actually quite surprised by how well made the trains are - lovely colours, there's quite a lot of detail on them, they look lovely. The wheels solution is well executed, all works well i.e. it cars don't derail or get stuck. The connectors between the train cars are also well made. The track pieces are connected with little clamps and once these are on the track holds really well. All in all, it's a really lovely set - my son loves it. At age 4 and half he's able to assemble the track with little help, after I showed him how to connect the pieces with the little clamps. It's actually a good exercise in precision for this fingers to put the little clamps on.
