This tea was already 1 year old when delivered, which means there was absolutely no flavor

Wrong information.
I've had this tea before, and it's good stuff. I haven't tried this packet yet, but I notice it's 7 months past its Best Before date. It should be just fine. It's been reduced to clear by the look of it - but that should be mentioned in the advert!! I've had the BB Taj that dates from 2018, and that was OK - but they did say it was old in the advert.
