The Lord of the Rings Instrumental Solos for Violin (with CD): Violin Removable Part / Piano Accompaniment

I've just finished my Grade 1 violin as an adult learner. I found this book a nice bridge between grades 1 and 3. The songs are in interesting time signatures and have a nice array of different key signatures. Music seems correct, I've not used the cd yet but other reviews have mentioned that the region is incorrect. It's on YouTube anyway

At last my son can play the music he likes. He has only passed bronze so some pieces are too hard but can already play -The Steward of Gondor and In Dreams so very happy.

Love Love Love! This is a brilliant book if you are a beginner and want to play something nice. The CD is great - has a performance track and a backing track for every piece. The pieces are nice and easy to learn, and encourage bowing technique to make them sound nice.

A brilliant collection of songs and an excellent addition to have in a music collection just to play for fun. Each song comes with two versions, one with a violin support and one without so you can practice on your own or with help following the music. Very impressed with this and would recommend it.

Some are a little oversimplified, but the main themes from all three LOTR movies are there, with the piano accompaniments if you wanted them.

My 12 years old son loves playing those tunes. It made him enjoy his violin more. What a good present.

Bought this for my granddaughter for her birthday as she loves 'Lord of the Rings' and thought that it would make playing the violin more fun and interesting. Well worth the money as it makes playing a little more 'fun'.

Pour les fans du film et musicien, ce livre de partitions est très interessant. Le prix est correct pour les morceaux proposés. Niveau avancé tout de même, pour l'instrument. Produit à recommander!

Es un libro para tocar con pista o acompañamiento de piano, las piezas fáciles de interpretar y si te gusto la banda sonora de la película de toda la trilogía, contiene las más conocidas, en lo personal me gusto mucho

Questa raccolta di pezzi tratti dalla trilogia del Signore degli Anelli è diventata un piccolo oggetto di culto per chi impara il violino; sui forum trovate tanta gente che cerca e fornisce suggerimenti su come suonarli, proprio come se fossero Bach o Vivaldi. Del resto si tratta di una delle raccolte più belle e complete di musica da film, con un accompagnamento orchestrale fenomenale che vi farà davvero sentire immersi nella musica. Alcuni dei pezzi non sono proprio facilissimi, anche perché in pratica non sono arrangiamenti, ma le musiche vere e proprie usate nei film: per alcuni ci vorrà un annetto o due di esperienza. Due cosette soltanto: primo, alcuni pezzi non si possono proprio definire "assoli" come il titolo suggerirebbe, in quanto contengono lunghe pause nella parte per violino. Secondo, potreste dover accordare lo strumento per adeguarvi alla frequenza del la usato nel CD (c'è una traccia di accordatura che serve proprio a questo.)
