I was a little sceptical about how effective these would be on porcelain tiles, but they are surprisingly effective for smoothing cut edges.

These will have their uses. Great for smoothing off tile or cut glass edges and I recently used one to clean up the face of an Iron casting but noticed some of the diamond grit did degrade so I'm not sure how long they'll last. One reviewer mentioned that they would be better if the metal/diamond face went up to the edge of the block, and I would agree that their possible uses would be extended should that be the case.

I received this item via the vine programme. Here is my honest and unbiased review.I was interested to give these a go and see how good they are at grinding/polishing tile, glass and stone.Pleasantly surprised that they do work and by going up through the grits (you may need to get higher grits as well) you can eventually achieve the finish you want.The main thing i am aware of with these is that the grinding surfaces do not go to the corners and edges of the blocks, rather they stop short with a curved edge in the corners and a 1.5mm short fall to the sides of the blocks. If the grinding surfaces were flush with the corners and sides of the blocks, these could have much more applications, particularly if there are small areas you need to get in to.Price is excellent for what you get. Just make sure you know exactly what you are using them for.4 stars!
