This jerky gun works as advertised, easy to use, and clean. If you have operated a caulking gun, the experience is very similar. The one issue I have with this unit is when the plunger gets to the end of its travel. product is still in the extruder tip, so I have to disassemble the jerky gun to finish extracting the product. There should be a tool to assist with this to avoid having to use my fingers to finish dispensing the jerky. I do not believe this issue is isolated to this brand, it just seems like an obvious oversight in the design. I generally use about a pound and half of prepared ground meat, and this holds this amount with ease. I am happy with this purchase. It has metal parts where required which should provide long life. I do not recommend submerging the plastic ram tool in water long for cleaning, as mine takes on water, and will slowly drain over several days.

Wilddigit has made the perfect stainless steel jerky gun for me! This gun feels like a professional tool! The first picture shows the gun laid out in order as it is assembled. The second picture shows the detail of the gasket that goes between the nozzle and the meat tube. The last picture shows the detail of the correct plunger installation. If you follow this assembly order and give it a good cleaning before first use, it works flawlessly.The gun parts that contact the meat are all stainless steel plus a plastic plunger. Cleaning is a breeze as the gun disassembles very easily. The pump handle has protective plastic sides that keeps the internal mechanism clean and free from contamination. Very easy to use with a gentle handle squeeze. I ran 5 lb of ground venison through the gun and it had no leaks, no meat got behind the plunger, and I did it so much faster with the high capacity tube. Love the double nozzles and other nozzles give lots of options. They include a lot of brushes and they were perfect in reaching all the areas of the gun for cleaning. Overall, it really is the perfect jerky gun for me.Wilddigit customer service is first class! They respond quickly and were so helpful. They offer a great warranty as well. I would have given this five stars except it came without any instructions. Luckily, I read a review in which the customer described how to reassemble the gun, step-by-step. My thank you goes out to him. I have small hands and am an older customer with arthritis, so squeezing the handle hurt my hand but I was able to continue with a short rest. I am going to create pads for the handle to alleviate this problem. This is just a personal observation. The gun is sturdy, easy to fill, clean, and works wonderfully. Made seven pounds of venison/hamburger mixed jerky. I would highly recommend this product.
