Very legible form afar
I bought this clock to go on the wall ouside, but under a canopy, so it can be seen when I'm in the garden and I can read it easily from the end of the garden, some 75ft away. It's not exactly totally silent, which does not seem to bother the Blue Tits that roost behind it nightly, but as it's outside it is of no consequence to us. I'm already on the second battery so I'm not yet sure if battery usage will be a problem. As an aside, this is the only item I've ever had where the battery needs to be inserted +ve first!Update: The battery compartment is too small for any of my AA batteries and this meant it was a real struggle to insert/remove batteries and it needed a screwdriver to prise a battery out, which happened too often as it consumed batteries like no one's business. Plus the casing has now 'rusted', see photo. It did keep good time, though. Overall, I have decided to reduce my rating to 3*.

Clock is fine..
Clock is fine . . . but I was ticked off at the suggestion the price was significantly reduced . . . when in reality it is worth about the price I paid . . . I don't like the hyped pricing suggested for Amazon Prime users . . . don't treat us as stupid!

Ordered this as it was described as silent...which indeed it was for the first three days. Thereafter it made a horrible, loud whirring noise. It was bought for our Autistic son who is very sensitive to noise so , needless to say, it was promptly returned. The quality wasn't great either so not a good all round experience.

Silent but not shy about its presence
The product photo is a bit of a cheat as the chrome surround is 4.5 cms deep but once I got over the shock and it had been on wall for while I like it a little more.

This clock is described as being silent... ...it isn't....
Despite liking the look of this clock I am afraid that it has failed after only a very short while in operation! I have reported this and received no feedback!
