Need to improve packaging
Product is fine - exactly what I've used in the past. However, I took off one star for the packaging. The plastic container the product is in seems OK except that it is no match for the rigors of today's shipping gauntlet when mailed in an envelope. Who knows how many large, heavy boxes it traveled around with on its journey. Alas, the mere plastic container inside the envelope was crushed pretty badly. Miraculously, the product seal had only opened a slight bit, limiting the product spillage. I'm sure that was only because most of the container damage was towards the bottom.Of course, I had already read about this same thing happening to others, so I knew in advance the risk I was taking. It is just such a shame that the customer has to assume such risk. I'll definitely be considering rather to "spin the wheel" again before my next order.

great for anemia- great for smoothies/liquids/soups, not so great with rice/cous cous/pastas ...
I mainly got this to add into my green smoothies every morning- my anemia has gotten really severe, and in order to avoid surgical intervention (TMI territory) my doctor has me consuming as much iron from both supplements and food sources as possible. I've been a vegetarian for 30+ years, so this is trickier than it sounds.I do love spinach, and eat it daily, so I thought spinach powder would be good to add to my green smoothies, plus things like ramen and cous and cous and things like that. It actually makes my smoothies much thicker and flavorful (even though my smoothies tend to go the chocolate/coffee flavor route- the spinach doesn't really compete with the flavor, but boosts it, oddly enough...) and is fine in *small* sprinkles in ramen, soups, and sauces, but this powder failed miserably in things like rice and cous cous where at the end the water is absorbed into the food and you are left with a lot of "spinach-y residue slime" that tastes kinda gnarly and is really unpleasant to eat.So in anything that is liquid based, this is great. In foods in which the liquid is either drained or absorbed into the food, the spinach powder doesn't dissolve fully and get absorbed. Instead it coats the food and turns slime-y and bitter tasting. The product really is super finely ground dehydrated spinach that WILL rehydrate and bulk out when you add water to it- it doesn't fully dissolve. Just keep this in mind when you are cooking with it.

Nitrate boost like beet juice but cheaper
Similar to the nitrate & nutrition boost you'd get in beet juice at a fraction of the cost, & won't turn your urine pink like beets. The trick is though, is that heat kills some of the nutrients & nitrate boost. So, just like beet juice, it must be consumed cold (or room temperature) to be effective. Beets have their nitrate peak in about 3 hours, spinach has its nitrate peak in about 5 hours. It's very strong & green (chlorophyll) tasting. Sprinkling it in stews & soups was OK but the heat destroys too much of the nutrients & nitrate effect. So far the only way I can consume it cold was in a mix of cold chocolate coffee. It still tasted very green, but was OK that way.Cold chocolate coffee energy drink: 1 tsp of instant coffee, 3 rounded tsp of sugar, 1 heaping tsp of Nestle instant chocolate milk, 1-3 tsp of powdered milk (use just 1 if you're lactose intolerant, powdered milk won't bother you as much as whole milk), add 8-12 oz of cool or cold water, & stir a lot.Add about 1 tsp of spinach powder or beet juice powder to that (stir vigorously, even while drinking or it will settle). After a week or so, you get used to it, & actually like it.

Money saver..
This product has been great for me and my wife. We use a few power greens in our smoothie, and this is always the base. We don't taste it and gives us natural energy and saves us from hardcore cravings throughout the day. I've had this product for over a month and we haven't even made it halfway through. Alot of value in a concentrated dose of one of the worlds healthiest foods.

Very potent spinach flavor!
Wow! What potent spinach flavor. I've added it to pasta sauce and made spinach soup with it. It is very, very, very concentrated so a little goes a loooooong way. I need to work on adding less to my recipes. It would help if there were recipes on the package, so I wouldn't have to guess as to how much powder to use. It is good. Just don't use too much of it.

First the downside- This stuff doesn't taste great and has a "fish food" smell to it when taking the lid off. I tried it in a smoothie and couldn't add enough sugar/fruit to cover up the taste. But this stuff packed with veggies that I don't get enough of, so here's what I do:Trick 1: Put it in Metamucil- Covers up the taste fairly well. Just down it real fast (like you would for Metamucil anyway) and you are good to go.orTrick 2: Put it in V8 juice. Covers up the taste not quite as well, in my opinion, but does a pretty good job of it.I have also heard of putting it in chili. I'm hoping to try that soon. But tricks 1 or 2 are easy to do on a daily basis to down more veggies that are great for your health.

Tastes fine!
I used 1tsp of this with about 3 cups of unsweet coconut milk, 1tsp kale powder, 1/4 cup mixed berries, 1/4 cup strawberries, 1 banana, 1TBSP vanilla protein powder, 1tsp Chlorella/Moringa/Spirulina blend & 1TBSP hemp/flax/chia seeds. (The banana was a little too much, I think I should've used only 3/4 - 1/2 banana.) But even with all of that in it, It tasted great! It didn't LOOK yummy, but it really was!๐Surprised me! Ended up being about 4 cups of smoothie.โI did NOT use the recommended amounts because this is dehydrated and ground up foods. I don't want my body absorbing too much nutrients at one time and throwing away the rest of the food that I eat throughout the day.โI felt full for about 3-4 hours. Like a normal meal!๐๐

Wonderful and so useful.
Was happily surprised at the size of the jar and the quality of the spinach powder.Have found so many ways to use it to add extra green vitamins to diet.Smoothies, sprinkled on tomato slices, added to salads, as an extra toppingon sandwiches. At no time does the taste overpower the original food, yetit is subtly there.

Great price for the amount you get and well packaged
I use this to colour my bath products, but unfortunately, it has a strong odour to it. Great price for the amount you get and well packaged.

Excellent boost
This is a great way to sneak in those extra veggies and hide them from picky kids. I use the spinach and/or kale powder in smoothies and cooking, prime example, pasta sauce!
