great product
My kid love the toy. They look great and seem made with good material for toddler. She is playing with this every day.I was a little concern that it may have paint smell in the balls but there is no. It’s good stuff and worth for money.

Super Cute and Highly Giftable
This Montessori style toy is really beautiful. It comes in a pretty box, and it's packaged nicely. The colors are really bright, and most of the pieces are solid wood so it should last a long time. I do have a few issues with it, although they definitely aren't deal breakers. The wood is thin. The bottom piece is probably a little less than a half an inch thick, and the top piece, with the holes in it is a bit less than a quarter of an inch thick. So, if your child is hard on toys, this is one you will want to be in the room with them when they play with it. So, it's not something you want to stick in the room and leave for them to play with whenever they want. Also, the templates are cardboard. It's pretty and colorful, and the toy would have been crazy expensive if they had made the templates out of wood as well, so it's understandable that they are made out of cardboard. Just bear in mind that a more destructive-minded child will have that cardboard bent into all kinds of shapes if you turn your back on them for too long while they are playing with this toy. My last complaint is that the colored balls come packaged in a plastic zip bag. I happened to have a small drawstring bag laying around that was the perfect size to hold the balls, so I swapped them to that, but the plastic zip bag is definitely not how you want to store your child's toy pieces. Overall, it's a beautiful toy, and a beautiful gift. Just make sure you, or whoever you gift it to are prepared to be present and attentive when your child is playing with it. If you do, this toy will last a long, long time.

Very engaging, not good for unstructured play in a classroom
I am using this as a quiet activity in my classroom so that one of my preschoolers has something to do while his classmates rest. And it has been perfect for that! The activity came with silicone cups, so he has to start by sorting the balls into the proper cups. He prefers the tweezers, but we have been experimenting with the spoon and the chopstsicks, and I love it that there are many ways to pick up the materials.I showed him how to put the template on, by lifing the cover and putting it on. I did find that the templates are very slightly bent, and the cover isn't very heavy. So it sticks up a bit. Maybe this will flatten over time. There are pictures on both sides of the paper templates, so there are lots of choices. However, we were very confused when he tried to change the template and we simply couldn't get it to line up with the holes on top. It turned out we needed to turn it 180 degrees. It might be nice to have a marking on the wood and the paper indicating the sides that should match in order for the template to work, because it was so close to working that we were really confused. This is a great activity for a child or two during a quiet working or resting time. It definitely has to be put away in our classroom when play time starts, though. There are lots of marbles that will be lost quickly, and the activity won't work if they're lost. The bright colors that make the toy fun will also encourage kids to play rough with it, so it will require at least some guidance on how to interact with it responsibly.

Disappointed
What a great toy! My preschool kiddos all gravitated to it, but it is warped and it makes it harder to use. I am exchanging and hoping it was just a one time issue. The actual concept is great and kids love this kind of stuff!

Fun, but need extra balls!
This is a cool set. Great way for kids to practice their fine motor skills, sorting, and color and pattern recognition. The design is pretty neat. I like that the holed top of the wooden pattern board holds the pattern sheets sandwiched in place. The wooden pattern board is a bit thin, so time will tell how durable it is. Our son is still a bit young to use this as intended so we haven’t really put it through the wringer yet.We have mainly been using the balls and silicone cups for color sorting. The silicone cups serve their purpose but are a bit flimsy. The balls are finished well: uniform color and smooth finish.I do wish it came with some extra balls and blank pattern cards, so parents or kids could come up with their own designs or patterns to follow. I may just create my own pattern sheets. The set come with the exact number of balls needed to complete the given pattern sheets. This may lead to frustration once a few balls are lost around the house. But overall a good design.

Fun with hand eye coordination and dexterity
My younger daughter is closing in on 4 years and she asked for this toy when she saw it on my phone, a good choice on her part, she thinks it's a toy but unbeknownst to her it's learning in disguise :).It didn't occur to me there were different numbers of the different colored beads, at first I thought the box was missing some of the blue and purple colors but it turned out that was intentional. We did struggle a bit between what was blue and what was purple, and needed help from my older daughter. The box comes with the base board with the positional pegs, a bunch of reversible stencils with different patterns, and a thinner "holed" wooden board to place on to of the stencil that you can place the beads on. There are three options to place the beads, a spoon, a clip and a pair of chopsticks. My daughter can already tell the different colors apart and had no trouble organizing the colored beads into their respective cups, bit she did struggle with placing the beads with the spoon. I thought the clip would be easier but it wasn't, and she's just beginning to use chopsticks that have helper rings so this was out of the question but I like that there are so many learning activities and skill sets she can graduate from and into. And the most important part was she didn't give up and continued to have fun with it despite her struggles. My only concern is the long term durability. The clip seems to be held together with elastic twist tie, maybe the range of motion won't put much stress on it but it probably could have been made with something more suitable from the get go?
