Reliance Water Control 15mm RWC Pressure Reducing Valve Complete with Gauge

There were three main reasons why I opted for this valve rather than the others on offer apart from the fact RWC have an excellent website which explains in clear English how these valves work and what to consider when installing one. Firstly, the quality of RWC products is every bit as good as other mainstream brands and their UK customer service is excellent - my email queries were answered within minutes. Secondly, the price from this supplier was extremely good - it includes the very useful pressure gauge and free delivery. Other makes/suppliers were often more expensive without providing a gauge. Thirdly, the valve dimensions of the valve are well suited to fitting into a tight space and the pressure is easily adjusted without the need for spanners - you just pull the knob out a little and turn it one way of the other. The gauge can be left in place or the blanking plug put back in as you prefer. I used an 'O' ring when fitting the gauge and got a good seal with using PTFE tape. A clear instruction sheet (in English) is included. I would certainly recommend buying RWC products from this supplier - saving money with compromising on quality.

Now installed and provides the pressure reduction that I had sought. Easy to install. The pressure dial aperture sealing screw needs to be firmly tightened to avoid a leak.

Item came properly packaged and is just as described. I'm a gifted amateur at plumbing and I found the inlet and outlet connections were not adequately described in the accompanying instructions (the water flow arrow on the body is not that clear). A check with the RWC web site confirms that the side with the shoulder cast into the body is the inlet side. Altogether though a great product.

I fitted the valve for a customer, after a few weeks the valve began to intermittently chatter, the supplier refused to replace the faulty item as out of their return period. I replaced the valve with an identical unit which worked fine
