I am using this adapter expressly for my PC, and can confirm that it works well once it is set up. The process of setting up the controllers is fairly straightforward, but people without some technical know-how may be a bit daunted. There are youtube videos to show you how to get this working with basically any app you might want to use it with, should you need some help.

What to relive gamecube, then this is what you need.
Bought to use with Dolphin Emulator. I would strongly to advise to use the native Gamecube drivers as detailed on the Dolphin web site under 'How to use the Official GameCube Controller Adapter for Wii U in Dolphin', do this before attempting to install the Mayflash driver because then you get the true feel of a Gamecube controller with perfect control.Though if its to complicated you can use the GameSeek/Mayflash driver, just then you have to configure the controller like any other controller (not the end of the world). This is a brilliant adapter and works perfectly, I've not had any problems like others have had leaving it connected to my PC (in WII U mode connected to a USB hub), PC shuts down and boots up normally.Bit costly if you don't have a Gamecube pad laying about and have to by this with a new pad, but I tried to take a short cut and pay a thirdparty USB gamecube controller (Retrolink) which didn't work correctly, costing me time and money! If your going to relive Gamecube games then this is the option.

[FIXED] : PC not booting when adaptor plugged in.
Terrific for your Wii out of the box, for Windows use Dolphins native support with the adaptor set to Wii (NOT PC). This not only fixes the hanging issue but it makes the controller as accurate and responsive as plugging it into a real Gamecube.https://wiki.dolphin-emu.org/index.php?title=How_to_use_the_Official_GameCube_Controller_Adapter_for_Wii_U_in_DolphinCalibration test results here:https://dolphin-emu.org/blog/2015/01/01/dolphin-progress-report-december-2014/A star rating is difficult since the adaptor can hang your pc if you use the PC selector setting, Gameseek.co.uk although polite were no help at all in finding a solution, yet ultimately you end up with something excellent if you follow the above instructions. Therefore 1 star seems appropriate since most people will simply want to open the box, plug it in and forget it.

Great product!
Worked really well playing smash bros with 6 of us. Even worked with my wavebird wireless controller! Haven't tired on PC or Mac yet but will try that soon. The GameCube controller is one of my favourites so looking forward to giving this a try. Worth giving the product a quick search as it went down a couple of quid on gameseeks's own website, which I hadn't noticed before getting it on amazon. Not sure if the official version lets you use on your PC/Mac. If not then you may as well get this as it's cheaper and has more functionality. Recommended!

Cheaper than official and has PC connectivity - it's a no-brainer.
Works flawlessly on both Wii U and PC.On the PC it works great with Dolphin emulator and various other emulators when configured correctly. Cheaper than the official Nintendo adapter and works on PC too, so there's pretty much no reason to buy an official one unless you really really care about that little logo on top.Would definitely recommend if you want to play Smash 4 with a Gamecube controller or Melee/Brawl/Project M/ any other gamecube game on PC using Dolphin.

Works perfectly on WiiU and Dolphin.
I initially purchased this device to enjoy multiplayer Smash Bros. on WiiU, as it was significantly cheaper than the official adapter at the time. There were no problems at all with the setup; merely plugged it into the WiiU, plugged in Gamecube controllers and it worked instantly.I have also used this adapter on the PC with Dolphin, and again it has worked flawlessly for this purpose after following the setup guide on the Dolphin wiki.

Honest & Simple Review !
After purchasing and playing Smash4 with it for 6 Hours straight and testing it- I can conclude that:--There is no Lag! (it is exactly like the official one) "NO LAG!"-No change in its performance after hours of use!-Tilting/dash dancing/quick movements register and work perfectly fine!-The device has not blown up and did not over heat!

Works great with Wii U.
Works perfectly on my Wii U with my game cube controller. If it doesn't work at first, look up how to set it up on Wii U. Needs to be synced it doesn't work automatically. Don't return it until you've tried syncing it as it's a far better price than others. Just a little advice :)
