Personally Consider this a Required EP
When will EA/Maxis realise that most simmers want this EP as part of the base game? This expansion has given me the most enjoyment out of all of them. I love this EP, though admittedly it does rain like the Sims all live with me here in Ireland, constantly. You wouldn't regret buying this EP. This EP introduces online dating, though the sims available on it will make you question EAs logic as several, if not all, of them will be married, very old or both. This EP also introduced the ability to send and receive love letters, gifts from other sims in your town by post, snowmen, snow angels, igloos, apple bobbing, skating, snowboarding...a multitude of seasonal sports and activities will take place at the local park which is automatically updated to become festival grounds. Each season has it's own festival associated with it and like any good gardener, your ability to garden now depends on the seasons. If it's fall or winter, your plants will go dormant and you will be unable to harvest them, giving gardeners a break, unless your sim is a gardener by trade, it then cuts into their livelihood. On the gripe side, to be fair, the constant use of the smart phone to answer calls for dates gets tiring really fast. Despite removing your online profile from the online dating site, married sims, sims on their deathbed and sims your sim may have babysat when they were a toddler, will all be calling your sim for a date if your friendship level is high enough for it. Then there is also the crashing bug. The crashing bug began occurring after the installation of Seasons and has to do with holiday house lights and snow. If you build a second storey onto your home during winter, with holiday house lights on, there is a chance your game will crash. This aside however, crashing is not a big problem with this EP if your system can handle it. Don't listen to the system requirements on the box, make sure you go to the Wiki or Mod the Sims to check the system requirements for this pack if you're installing it with additional EPs as the original requirements always increase based on your EP number.

Seasons
I've had this expansion for a little while now along with a few of the others to go with it and i have spent hours playing on this. The seasons last for one sim week each before going back round again and you have plenty of things to do. In the winter you can build igloos and a variety of snowmen and in the autumn jump in a big pile of leaves. There is a festival every season at the main park where sims can go to a variety of different activities to choose from as well as having a photo taken with family or friend. The only problem I've had is that the game freezes from time to time and i have to restart the game, not sure whether this is due to the expansion or whether its because i have a few expansions installed already, don't let that put you off though. But anyone who loves playing on the sims will like this expansion.

Finally arrived
Still going throw the seasons. Was so happy to be finally able to get this pack as if was out of my budget and more expensive than the others in my local store when released. It arrived on time.

Well worth it!
I'd been waiting for the Sims 3 Seasons expansion to come out since the announcement of the Sims 3 because it had been such a great idea in the Sims 2. It was well worth the wait! I love the new features, such as the seasonal festivals and the addition of simply adding umbrellas and being able to play soccer.I was disappointed by how hard it is to get sunburnt or even tanned, however. I noticed that my sims got the moodlet "Getting Warm" or "Getting Cold" by staying outside all day, but it never got further than that, and certainly never got burnt or frozen. Another disappointment was the lack of new clothing and hairstyles - only a few new outfits came out, and only a few hats for adults, and a couple of masks for children. All in all, though, I love the expansion, and it was well worth the simoleons!

Great Sims Expansion Pack!
This is one of my favourite Sims 3 Expansion Packs yet! The game does not come with a new town, however this is definately compensated for by the new features offered. When beginning a new game, the biggest park in the town you selected is replaced with Festival Grounds. Depending on the season, the things inside the Festival Grounds change. Each season lasts for seven days, but this be changed in the options menu. For your sims, the weather is no longer always sunny - it can rain, hail, snow, etc. Children can go trick or treating at Halloween and you can build snowmen and igloos during winter. Also, there are new types of party available; Pool, Feast and Gift-Giving. The new outerwear clothing type is also very exciting!I would definitley recommend the Sims 3 Seasons!

Just what I was looking for
I was looking for a new element to The Sims to get me back into playing. So glad that I chose this. It's fun and adds extra bits and pieces that really do keep you playing. Even the simple things get me, like the moodlets for being too hot or cold and seeing how far I can push my sims until the weather really takes its toll. Just the other day it was hailing in real life. I had played The Sims 3 Seasons through their summer month and it hailed. Being a Brit, those sims sat outside on a sun lounger, in swimwear while it hailed on their not so great parade. The only criticism I have so far is that, like most of the Sims expansion packs the coding is a little iffy. There seems to be some pretty rough memory leaks. My machine far exceeds the requirements (6 x 3.2GHz core processor, 8GB RAM plus NVIDIA 480GTX graphics card) yet after half an hour of playing it slows to a bit of a crawl, even the fast-forward option doesn't make a difference. Selecting that, the time goes forward at the same pace as 'real-time', the sims move at a normal pace but the trees/plants outside move quicker. Hopefully, EA will release a patch to fix these issues...one day.
