no this impact driver is always impacting

Can i use this as an impact wrench with adapters?

Yes, well as a driver, it will never be a wrench. I put my 1/4" adapters in for 1/4" or 3/8" sockets, and it works fine. I guess any adapter or tool that has a 1/4" bit, could be inserted into this driver.
