fiddly to fit and get spring right ,otherwise very good i had to change to original key with existing holder ,which needed a small punch to remove pin ,otherwise straightforward !!

Works perfectly. Reviewers who have commented on the key being too weak to flip open properly really should read on line instructions. The reason for a “weak” key is simply because they have not pretensioned the spring themselves. It’s really important to follow instructions available on YouTube or it just will not perform. Readily available videos explain exactly how to change the components over, if you try a short cut or ignore part of the process it simply won’t work. At this price it’s a no brainer and I think is good quality and despatched very quickly too, thanks.

It all fits together but key does not flip out, button is sunk in, I have to pull key out with my finger nail

So, the pcb fits perfectly, however your original blade wont. The legs on the flip button are different spacing. This can be remedied by a craft knife to the case. Whilst on the blade, the case used a cheap moulding in the case to lock in its positions, nothing like the Vauxhall key. You can't remove the roll pin from your blade then fit it into this cases casting as the hole is drilled in a different place. So a lot of negstives, on the upside its cheap. So worth it if you know it's limitations. So your options are get this blade cut at a locksmith (more expense) or mod the plastics. Would I but again? Possibly, in a pinch, but most likely I would get a better one.

Item as described but battery was dead. I would recommend buying 1 that comes with tool kit if you’re not planning on getting key cut . Easy to transfer pcb and key once I got my tools out.

Appears fine. Haven't made the transfer from the old key yet.

This is a very good replacement key and looks and feels exactly like my vauxhall astra key. Looking on youtube it is a very simple task to changeover the part from the old key to the new, unless you need to change and swap the ignition key itself which can be a little fiddly but still simple in terms of what to do.
