Great product
I needed to replace the Trader Joe’s shave cream I had been buying for decades after it was discontinued. I found this on Amazon, and I like it better than the TJ’s product, which tended to be a bit runny. This product is thicker, firmer, easier to apply. I’ll keep buying it as long as the price stays reasonable.

Nice smell, but not very protective
Smells very nice (woody, masculine, manly) but doesn't protect from nicks and cuts very well.

Deployed son uses the stuff!
Another item I send to one of my deployed sons. Loves the stuff. I always send it to him.

No Lather
Who knew to look on the back to see that it's non lathering? You can't put it on with a brush because it simply disappears. So you spread it around your face with your fingers. It does give a smooth shave, but the whole experience of shaving is lacking. Dinged on the review for not notifying on the front that it doesn't lather, but otherwise it does give a good shave.

Good Stuff
This is better than I expected. My first use didn't go so well. I didn't use enough of the product. Once I applied a bit more, the results were much better. What's unusual, is that it doesn't lather up at all. It's kind of a paste. So knowing how much to apply comes with time.

Excellent, long-lasting hypoallergenic shave cream.
I have a heavy beard and sensitive skin. The skin under my neck is particularly sensitive, and tends to get dry. Because of that particular combination - perhaps a genetic accident - I've learned to shave very carefully or else I'll quickly develop and annoying - and sometimes painful - rash.It can as a surprise and another quirk of fate when after decades of shaving I suddenly developed a severe allergy to some of the most common ingredients in skin products! It's Mother Nature, there's nothing to do but adjust. In the several years since my annoying skin allergy appeared - and after an additional year of discomfort before the allergy was diagnosed by a dermatologist - I've tried multiple hypoallergenic soaps, creams, shampoos and other skin products. I now have a routine that's fairly easy to live with. The company that made the first decent hypoallergenic shave cream that I discovered eventually went out of business. I began a new search, and discovered this, eos UltraProtect cream. It's a first-rate product, and, if anything, it's even better than the now-defunct product that I had found.I've had no skin eruptions, shaving is nearly effortless, and it seems to have a small, agreeable moisturizing effect. (I have a fancy, made-in-Paris, hypoallergenic moisturizer when I want one.)For shaving, I am more than satisfied with eos.
