Full of action funny good to watch with the kids

the 5th instalment of ice age,collision course.manny the male mammoth is unsure about his daughters new boyfriend and theat they want to marry and roam free.then scratt the squiral inside a ufo flies to outer space tto cause chaos in his mission to get his acorn, causing cosmic chaos and starting the meteors direction to earth.all the critics who said scratt was not in this film ain a ufo are blind.the story follows on from the last ice age film.in thiks the mammoths and all the other animals must find a way to stop the meteor,on the way laughter5 and chaos with the sloth who finally meets his mate.i don't agree with the critics who say this film is not much good.i found it to be a great follow on,funny and a bonus disc where they go in search for santa clause and how they think Christmas looks like.both fantastic discs for all children.and the child in all adults.HIGHLY RECOMMEND..

Honestly all Ice age movies are brilliant, been looking for the dvd version for ages and so happy to find it, also it has an extra xmas special inside it, buy now.

It can be a bit too much when a franchise keeps churning the sequels out but this one is well worth a watch. Great take on a catastrophe to befall the planet. The characters as ever are as classic as they were when we first met them, there is some great humour in the film along with some good relationship hurdles that add some depth to it. Credit to the actors & actresses that do the voices they really bring the animated characters to life almost like they are real. Scrat (The Acorn chasing squirrel), is as always the master of impending doom for the others but brilliantly done in this one. They manage to med modern day concepts into the Ice Age World they all live in. We also see the return of Buck the one eyed hero to being as crazy and cool as ever. Its a great ride, well scripted, the pace keeps you engrossed until the end, well worth watching. The only reason for not giving it 5 stars is that after 4 previous versions the characters have become more like friends we know and thus the surprises are just that slight bit less as you can often work out whats coming next. But don't let that detract from what is a great film in its own right against the others. Although I would suggest watching the others first if you have not seen them as there are a lot of interactions in this one that will not make sense and would detract a little from the enjoyment. Disappointed. Me and my partner wanted to watch all the ice age movies back to back so did it this week. Ice age 1 was a classic, ice age 2 was amazing, like the first but with better graphics, ice age 3 was a hard one to beat because who doesn’t love dinosaurs, ice age 4 really surprised me with how it managed to improve quality wise but still stick to the original charm. This one was a massive disappointment. Yes it looked nice but Scrats in space. The comedy and humour seemed to be directed at a different audience instead of the audience of people who grew up watching the movies which was a shame. I’ve never understood why films series do that, if you make the move with your current audience in mind you’ll keep the fan base happy. If you decide to change it up and make it targeted at a new audience, all that’s going to happen is they’ll watch that, decide to give the old ones a go and be let down because it’s different humour. This is probably the longest review I’ve ever left but I think it needed to be said. We’ve agreed to pretended we didn’t watch this one and that ice age ended on the last one
