Finally!! a book dedicated to Gibson SGs! [email protected]
Giving it 5 stars because the Gibson guitar world is starved for a specific book on SGs beyond John Bulli 's good, but old B&W one. I am amazed that no one until now has published an "SG-only" book when there have been recent books on other Gibson models. While it could have been better ( see the 3 star review), I'll drink even warm water when I 'm thirsty .

all of Gibson SG - inside & outside
Great glossy color photos of the Gibson SG models, both inside the body cavities and the outsides. That way you can tell the real from the Chinese fakes - on the insides. Includes some photos of closely related Gibson guitars, as well as Epiphone SG models.

History and practical information in one.
If you are just interested in Technical specs you get history to go with it. Setup and repair is very good to have even if its not why you want the book. As hard as it is to learn to play guitar why not learn how to fix guitar? So many players are scared to touch a adjustment on a guitar. This book will explain some of the mystery away. 1/2 of a trip to a Luthier will pay for this book. If you are fan of the SG buy the book. It could be more in depth and there could be more history but its way more information than most people have ever had on a SG.
