Good value clock
I saw the Verbalise clocks advertised in a newsletter from a local blind society so I decided to order them for my Nan who is partially sighted and 76. The clock arrived within 48 hours. They came with large print instructions and there’s a YouTube video as well. I inserted the batteries and the clock set itself up and found the correct time and date in less than 10 minutes. Nan loves the clear man’s English voice as it sound like a real person, which is good as her hearing is not as good as it was, Nan finds the talking day and date option handy as well. It is easy to use and has a 3-level volume switch on the side. This is an excellent product for any one that has difficulty seeing or understanding a clock. The other clock we got was the VTC-02 it came setup and is very good for the price but has an electronic female voice but it tales the temperature that Nan liked.

nice clock, very clear face, dad was happy with it. knocked 1 star off because imo £47.50 is expensive for what it is.

Voice-Enabled Alarm Clock with Automatic, Radio-Controlled Time-Setting
It arrived a whole day earlier than expected, so that was the first good thing. It actually arrived with a postman, NOT a courier this time. The alarm clock itself is fabulous quality, the voice itself on it is very clear and the set-up instructions, advertising and clearly explained returns policy were all great. Very happy to recommend.Although pricier than many I'd seen, I was determined to do some research on this type of alarm clock - for myself - but for general use and am not struggling with eyesight problems currently, or any other health problems. Also, I prefer a clock dial layout, rather than a digital read-out.My last voice-enabled alarm clock was a cheapy, but which lasted me well over 20 years. The voice on it though was a a slightly difficult to listen-to American accent and she even sounded as if she was pinching her nose reading out the time and also sounded too robotic! This male, English voice is much easier to comprehend and is slow and clear and sounds natural.

Very clear voice and big easy to use buttons
Very clear voice and big easy to use buttons. Arrived somewhat covered in mineral oil which required a clean off before use.

Clear easy to see clock face
I bought this for my elderly mother who's eyesight is fading. The clock sets the time by itself so no fiddling around on the back of the clock. The batteries were already installed and the clock was set to the right time when it was delivered so I didn't even have to do that for mum. Mum says she can see clock face with daylight but has trouble in low light conditions, BUT this is not a problem because all she does is reach over to the clock and press the button on the top and it tells her the time with an audible voice! And with a second press of the same button on the top it will tell you the day and date. Absolutely great product, my mum loves it, and if mum's happy then I'm happy. 😀

Not working
The analogue clock face did not synchronise properly with the radio-signal, setting a new random time each time I tried to reset it! The spoken time synchronised fine, but very disappointed. Returned item, but company say they havent received it - insult added to injury.

Buy one for yourself!
I bought this as a Father's day present as my dad is no longer able to see much and is awaiting cataract operations. I thought I'd set it up for him and try it out before I took it to him. However, I found it so useful myself (a contact lens wearer who has to take them out at night) ...that I never gave him this clock but kept it. It is very handy to just be able to tap the clock and know whether or not it's time to get up. I don't worry about all the other features it has - but just this speaking part is useful enough for me. It does look good as well on the bedside table. ....and don't worry - Dad didn't go without entirely - I just bought a talking "button" type one instead which he raves about now. Very pleased with this and would recommend it to others who have poor vision.

Best talking clock for poor eyesight and hard of hearing.
Bought this for my 91year old Grandma. She loves it! She is partially sighted and very deaf and yet copes with this great. I bought a similar one from Argos but she couldn't understand the female American voice. This one has a male English voice. The dial is clear and accurate to the second. If you press the button twice, it will say the day and date which is a useful feature. Better than the RNIB yellow button clock which loses time.
