What I wanted
I use marzipan every year in my Christmas backing, but it's disappeared from our small town store's shelves. So, I picked it up here.Pros: - tastes as I'd hoped- nice consistency for my baking- freshCons: - a little more expensive than I was accustom to paying but cheaper than burning the gas to drive the 1 1/2 to the next city. This came with three packs of marzipan. The quality is what I expected—nice consistency, easy to work with, and good taste. It's fresh enough as well and exactly what I'm accustom to using. So, the baking can start.

Fantastic!!!
Think about this one way, marzipan is not something you grow up to like in the US, but some of us have been in different parts of the world growing up and let me tell you, marzipan was one sweet discovery for me when I was a kid, got a marzipan pig, was big and delicious, been a fan since then. Came back to the US and you cannot find marzipan that easily, so one day at the supermarket I found a box, actually there were 2 different ones, Marzipan and Almond Paste, for those of you that want to bake, use the almond paste made also by Odense. Long review? nah, is just words put together :) enjoy!!!

Excellent Marzipan
This Marzipan paste was fresh and I am very happy with it. Expiration is 16 months into the future but of course I will use it up before then! So many recipes for this, and even slice thinly and serve at room temperature on appetizer trays! Just the perfect sweetness in my opinion! I can recommend this marzipan paste!

Order arrived incomplete!!!
I like marzipan and anything with bitter almond. But I received only one tube instead of the three tubes that should have been in one package/shipment.

Do you like almonds?
If you do, and have lived all of your life never hearing of marzipan, keep it that way! It won’t make you happy I promise….Because marzipan is a sort of “candy” paste. And it is made with ground almonds, sugar and, sometimes, a preservative. That’s it. That’s all. But if you’re an almond fan, life will never be quite the same. OH! It is SO delicious! You CAN put into things to make blank, filled with marzipan, but I’ve honestly gone waaaay past that stage and use it for a treat and count how many minutes I can before finishing the whole tube! Go ahead - order it. See if I’m right!I double-dog DARE YOU!

Great product!
I love using this marzipan for my Mandelbrot recipe! It’s very tasty and doesn’t have an overwhelming almond taste. I use a food processor to create smaller pieces along with some powdered sugar in order to incorporate into my recipe. Mandelbrot is a Jewish version of an Italian biscotti.

Marzipan
This marzipan is delicious! It never actually lasted long enough to use in a recipe, but was eaten straight from the package. I tried rationing it, but after one taste that didn’t work. I’m going to blame evaporation…. lol.

Really bad bitter taste
I bought this Mazapán to make a princess cake. Unfortunately, I should’ve tasted it before I used it because it was absolutely awful. Although my cake was far from perfect the Mazapán topping was, by far, they worst part of it. It just tasted nasty - it was actually bitter. We ended up pulling the mazapán off the cake and eating the cake and filling. It was really disappointing, because princess cakes take so much effort to make, and this one was ruined by the Mazapán icing. I certainly wouldn’t recommend this product. Next time I’ll make my own marzipan.
