Excellent controller for the value price!
Got this controller for a buddy of mine because he loves PlayStation and this GameCube style controller suits him perfectly because the joysticks are like the PlayStation controllers are! Excellent response time and great value for the money

A modern gamecube controller
PS stick layout with gamecube buttons? I'm sold. I also really like that I can use this both with a real gamecube as well as my pc.

almost perfect
a wireless hori gameboy player controller is something i've wanted since the original got too expensive to be worth buying, and this definitely fulfills that need and then some. having actual sticks and four proper shoulder buttons is a big improvement over the hori, and though i've never had my hands on that particular legend, every other Hori d-pad i've ever used has felt kinda bad, whereas this d-pad is much closer to the SNES in feel.that said, it isn't perfect. the face buttons feel a bit off, they're a different kind of plastic than the oem gamecube controller and pressing them feels a bit different too, but it's subtle enough that i quickly forget about it. i also really wish the sticks were hall effect since ALPS seems incapable of making a long-lasting stick anymore, but maybe these are some other manufacturer or higher quality or something, i have no way of knowing until they start to drift. and it's not like i'll be using the sticks much with this - though if i did it'd also be nice if they replicated the gamecube's concentric circle stick top since i've never used another joystick equally comfortable, but i can probably put toppers on these if i ever care enough.

Finally a great wireless option for GameCube
This is a great wireless option for the GameCube. I mainly picked this up to play GameBoy Player and retro games with it. I love that its wireless and has RUMBLE! Very happy with the purchase. The d-pad takes a little getting used to, but I did not experience any accidental / missed inputs. I can touch the edge of the left or right d-pad and it won't activate the other directions, unless I'm trying to.The analog stick feels great and to the reviewer that said they didn't know it was not Bluetooth. It clearly states 2.4 GHz in the descriptions. Its very easy just plug the included USB wireless dongle into the dock and you are good to go!Overall highly recommend!

Could have used bluetooth, wired input, and gyro.
I will admit there's only a few options for Gamecube controllers on PC and fewer with symmetrical stick placement, but I kind of wish I could use this as wired Switch Pro controller with gyro controls so I can make the most of its capabilities as a Switch controller. The lack of Bluetooth support just means I've to plug it into a USB port anyway.

Solid 3rd party wireless controller
This is a good 3rd party controller. It's a little lighter than expected and the plastics doesn't feel as good as 1st party controllers. I wish it resembled the original Gamecube wired or Wave Bird controller for familiarity.

Comfortable, but with a few issues.
So the pad has some pros and cons, comfortable to hold, all the buttons and triggers feel nice. The dpad has an issue though, and that it has trouble properly detecting diagonals. When doing things like half and quarter circles it seems to have trouble finding the diagonals, and it doesn't even detect them at all sometimes when pressing the diagonal straight on. I can not recommend this pad for fighting games if you plan to use the dpad heavily, but that is a pretty big hit as the reason to get this pad over the battler or other pads was supposed to be the better dpad, I find it disappointing. The sticks and triggers seem to be fine, but I have seen online some people having issues which seem to relate to QC problems potentially with the receiver, so do be aware of that.Overall I do like the design of this pad, it feels nice to hold, buttons feel good, but I think Retrofighters should have done more testing with the dpad and look into any potential qc problems.
