Reproduction British WW1 Brass Trench Lighter

bit fiddly but will get used to it.

Not quite as I expected bit plasticity ends are brass and I thought it was a petrol turns out to be gas LOL

Very upset cant use at all lighter leaks would like a replacement a slide up petrol one

fantastic lighter. no problems with hissing or leaking. Arrived sooner than expected. its beautiful and works like a charm. a bit smaller than anticipated but all in all would totally recommend for anyone.

I recently received my lighter looks great and is great for how unique it is however there is a hissing sound and the fuel drops a hell of a lot!

Update :Huh. Famous last words.I wrote the positive review below after using the lighter for a week or two. Later that day, I noticed it was empty, so I refilled it. A bit later still, it was empty again.The problem is with the hinged bar at the top. It does not press down enough on the place where the gas feeds the flame, so gas leaks out even when closed. As a result, it empties itself in ten or fifteen minutes.So, I'm afraid it is useless. A pity - I had liked it.Original :I ordered this largely out of curiosity, and have been very pleasantly surprised by how well it works. Only time will tell how well it will last - I'd've thought there must be quite a bit of strain on the hinge, but it seems quite happy so far.Recommended.

I love collecting unique and interesting lighters and this ticks all the boxes. Was surprised to note that the gap between the two vertical brass parts is not a gap, but a plastic inlay which means you can see the level of fuel left in the lighter. This is a nice touch, but isn't made overly clear in the pictures.The lighter works perfectly and doesn't seem to leak at all unlike some liquid fuel lighters. It even came half full which is great if you don't have a can of butane lying around and you can adjust the flow of the gas if you fancy a small fire rather than a flame.Overall quality item. Would make a great present.

Schönes Feuerzeug , handlich , liegt gut in der Hand . Macht was es soll und ist ein Hingucker . Kann es nur weiter empfehlen und gebe 5 Sterne .

Design wunderschön, Handhabung etwas problematisch. Beim Anzünden klappt der Kopf oft zurück. Drehrad für Zündstein hat sich nach kurzer Zeit verabschiedet. Tank für Gas zu klein. Etwas für die Vitrine.
