OK starter clamp
These types of framing clamps are surpringly useful in many different situations. If you only intend to use them for the odd frame, this is probably fine. For what it sets out to do, this clamp delivers relatively well.If you spend more, you can get something with a better tensioner, with easier to use mechanism and where the corner "clamps" are attached (though can slide freely) to the strap . The ones I have now I've mislaid several times and I know it's a matter of time before I lose one making the whole set unusable.

Not easy to use depending on the job
Used it for gluing a drawer together (all 4 sides & base) but found it clumsy. Would not tighten up enough

Good for clamping Windows and Doors
Easy to thread webbing through ratchet mechanism, fine for gluing straight timber, but don't expect much else as I found the rachet would slip if I put to much force behind it.Corner protectors were supplied, okay to use on wide face timber, but don't expect to make up laminated panels with narrow timber as they could pull panel out of shape. I used them for making up doors and they were excellent for the job.

Handy DIY kit
Good pointsThe strap is very strong, the four "jaws" work very well to grip the timber without marking itNot so good pointsThe lever of the ratchet is quite short so is difficult to put that final bit of pressure on the job. I found using a builders leather work glove helped.Over all though the set up did the job for me ( repairing/ re-gluing four antique chairs ).
