It is a good book to read but it can be a little heavy to understand if you don't know nothing about Kabbalah.If you have a clue,then is a very good guide to understand Kabbalah more in to its deepths.

Better than I expected at introducing the concepts of kabbalah. I bought this book knowing nothing and now I feel reasonably informed on major aspects of kabbalah

A worthwhile and finely illustrated work. Interesting and readable and well researched. Some interesting and unusual attributions, such as colour, with the usual absence of justification. Ultimately usable which is important at this stage of the development of the traditions.

Very insightful book with some key learning. If you need some help in further education or just a better understanding of where we are this will help.

I enjoyed it quite a bit.

Many concepts are introduced and defined, but at times the text is too theoretical and not specific enough. Very good, but not excellent.

Bon livre, bien que parfois difficile. A relire plusieurs fois. Peut etre il y en aura-t-il un deuxième tome, pour plus d'informations? Merci

アメリカAmazonのレビューを見て「分かりやすい」との評判だったので日本のAmazonから注文した。確かに分かりやすかった。ユダヤ神秘主義、カバラ、生命の樹の話。カバラと言えば付き物の数秘術の話がぜんぜんなくて。あれが苦手な僕には良かったが、果たして数秘術ぬきで本当にカバラを理解できるのだろうか？ヘブライ語はアルファベット一つ一つが数字に対応していて、それゆえカバラは数秘術に導かれる。本来的にはこの数学的理解こそがカバラ解読に必須なのだが、まあ僕には無理だからいいか。ちなみに『旧約聖書』なんかも完全に数字に翻訳して読める。そこにも不可思議な意味があるらしいが、もちろん僕には不明。なんと言うか、昔からユダヤが金融に秀でていたり今のイスラエルでソフト開発が主力産業だったりするのも、そういう文化的背景があるのかなと思う。インドなんかもソフト開発得意だけど、あそこもインド数学とか、ゼロを世界で初めて発見した国だって話があるし。　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　すみません。話が逸れた。この本は全編英語だが書いてあることがはっきりしてるから読みやすい。読みにくいところはどうせ日本語訳しても分かりにくい箇所だろうから、思い切ってすっ飛ばしたし。数秘術嫌いでもカバラ理解した気になりたい僕みたいな人間にはオススメ。半分以上カバラと無関係なスピリチュアル話があって、そこは読んでも読まなくていいと思う。しかし、日本で出版されてるカバラ関係の本は何冊読んでもよく分からなかったが、この本読んだら数日だったなー。
