Use it wherever you can, bearings and even as a corrosion preventer
Works brilliantly on bike wheel bearings etc. Just degrease the old stuff out so it’s sterile. A smear of this and forget it for 12 months easily. Also, use it to prevent components seizing together, it’s as good as “copper slip” to prevent seizures ! I’ve also used a smear to stop alloy wheels seizing to steel hubs. It’s so sticky even at 70mph Officer, it doesn’t fling off and go everywhere. Just go easy.I’ve loaded a cycle grease gun with this (being so thick and sticky it was a challenge, but done now), I’ve greased my heavy metal gate hinges (with the length of the gates I estimate the hinges are bearing 300lbs each), they have never opened and closed so easily, NO noise at all and in the recent weather it’s not been affected at all ! Using the grease gun it’s forced out the old grease and this being bright red, it’s easy to see where it is. Another brilliant application and I’m even more impressed !!

Sticks around longer that normal mineral grease.

tacky grease for bearings
Useful product for greasing bearings on bicycle and other areas of application. Sticky grease easily applied by grease gun or mini-manual grease gun. Good vale product and pricing.

A Must for Motorcycle Steering Head Bearings ..........
........ in my opinion. In spite of decades of use, before using an all-purpose grease for new steering head bearings on my Honda GL1800 Goldwing, which I hope to never have to do again, I researched to see if there was a more suitable grease and discovered Lucas Red-N-Tacky. It's more "tacky" and more water resistant than an all-purpose grease and I understand is widely used in marine applications. I'm surprised that in 45 years of motorcycling I'd never heard of it.

Thick & sticky
Seams good, it is thick and sticky used on bike bearings via a grease. It’s nice and red so you can see where it is.
