Wooden Dowel Rods 1/5 x 6 Inch Unfinished Wood Sticks for Crafts, 100 Pieces

These dowels are perfect to help fix sagging door caused my loose screws on the hinges. I remove the hinge (usually only one hinge and one side at a time), and use wood glue to the dowel to put in the screw hole. Works great on door or door jamb side. I let the glue dry and then cut off the excess with nippers. I may need to sand a bit if i did not cut it well enough. then i put the hinge back. It gives the screws somethng to bite into to allow it to stay. I've tried to use the screen from home depot to help and never got that to work right. Golf tees are expensive too. These dowels also let me know if the jamb is fair from the acutal door framing (depending on how far in the dowel goes) and may indicate I need to get longer screws and I don't have to pull any trim off to find that out. In our current house, I am finding out that the door jamb is often far from the actual door framing and sometimes I just need longer screws to help too.

There not a whole lot to say about dowel rod but the worked for their use!

They are as advertised, 1/8 inch diameter wooden dowels. They work perfectly for my project.

Over the years - oversized screws had been used in the hinges for an antique cabinet. I drilled out the screw holes and inserted these dowels - then - redrilled the pilot holes for the wood screws. Worked great with restored brass hinges. (Ball & Ball Foundry)

I bought these for a craft project and they worked great but I needed 100 and the package only had 99.
