Decent entry level smart watch - Acclamator Smartwatch
The Acclamator RT5 Max is a decent entry level smart watch. It has a case diameter of 48mm but is fairly thin, so it wears well on my 17.5cm wrist. It appears to be well made and the silicone strap is comfortable. The strap has quick-release spring bars which make swapping to another strap style a breeze. The display is bright with 5 levels of brightness and gives several options of how information can be displayed. There are several analog style watch faces as well as digital style. The touch screen and buttons are responsive and easy to use with an intuitive combination with the crown at 3o’clock that can be pushed or rotated. The battery life is around 3-5 days depending on use. The magnetic charging cable connects easily but is one more proprietary cable to keep track of.I was mostly interested in this watch for the heart rate and pedometer features. Both seem to work fine but I have no way to verify the accuracy. Also included are other typical digital watch features: calculator, timer, countdown timer, alarm, etc.I didn’t try the other “smart” features that require downloading an app onto my iPhone. Mostly because they were of no interest to me, but also in part after reading the privacy information. I was not comfortable with giving access to so much personal data to an unknown entity.Overall, this is a good entry level smart watch. I enjoy wearing it to work out to help with tracking fitness data. I have received a few positive comments on the look of the display and the legibility of the larger size. Whether or not the “smart”features are used, it still offers a lot of functionality and style.

Good watch
The screen on this watch is very nice and bright, the watch faces look good. The meters all work well, but you don't get much information for them on the watch itself, you have to use the app for most of your history. It will only show you your current heart rate, sleep, or SpO2 levels, only with blood pressure you can see a daily log.Even though the screen is nice, it doesn't seem to have a good refresh rate as some transitions between screens look a little weird, some might just be flipping between images and is not very smooth, while some are designed very nicely for the round screen. Has a lot of redundant options, over the user interface is pretty bad, wish it had more meters and used the screen better. The vibration feedback is nice and strong, has a rotary dial that pushes in with another button below it. The strap is alright, with a lot of notches to fit right.

Not the best watch, but for the price what did I expect?
It's a good thing I had really low expectations for this product, yet it barely met the low bar I had set for it. I didn't expect much, and it certainly lived up to that. I will say, my first thought was to give it 3 stars as opposed to the 2 I did give it. The reason for that was the price. It's really affordable so at least you get the basics for your money. In the end I only gave it 2 stars because plain and simple, if things don't work or work well, it's just not a bargain.I struggled the minute I took this out of the box. I just started wearing readers about 6 months ago so my eyes aren't THAT bad, but I just could not read the instructions. The print is so ridiculously small it was a nightmare. I literally had to read the instructions with my reading glasses on and use a magnifying glass at the same time. I STILL had a hard time reading it the print was so small! It took a bit of work to set this up. It wasn't easy, mostly due to how hard it was to read the print in the instructions but also the instructions were pretty vague. The instructions also used poor grammar like most products made in China where their English translation isn't quite right. I downloaded the App and began to set everything up, testing things as I went. I now have most of what I need working on it, but I have never been able to get my text messages to work. I've done the setup all right and synched it with my phone, but my text messages just do not appear. I cannot send a text either. That is a huge disappointment and one of the main features I would use.The phone works and it appears to have taken all 2150 of my contacts. That being said, after 3 days of trying to work it and set it up, I cannot find a way to just jump to say the "O's" in my address book. I have to scroll all the way through ALL of the contacts in my phone to find the O's or whatever letter of the alphabet a contact starts with. It's a pain in the butt and takes forever! The phone does work and will accept and send calls however, the speaker on the watch is terrible and it is VERY hard to hear. That makes phone calls through this watch difficult. The good news is the price. It also gives you the basics such as time, date, steps taken per day and the battery seems to last pretty long. It's for the most part stylish, except it has a big "Smart Watch" logo in the top right corner that looks pretty cheesy. After 3 days of use I have determined it's basically just a watch that tracks my steps and that I can use it as a phone on occasion.

Great watch, held back from perfection poor "smart features" implementation
For a $30 watch, this is amazing. It's got a large and bright screen, bigger and brighter than some $50-$80 watches. The watch has a functional rotating crown, decent pre-installed app selection, blazing fast bootup, and decent battery life. If you want a basic watch that you can throw a detailed watchface on, and have fitness tracking features, this is great. The fitness features don't use the best sensors and have given spikes in heartrate not found on other watches, but as it averages out, hasn't caused significantly incorrect readings. The other fitness features seem to match those found on more expensive watches and fitness bands, so for those functions, expect it to be fine. The screen is quite bright and easily readable in the day, unlike some other watches I've tried. It's got a higher pixel density than other watches too, giving a clearer, sharper image than even some premium smart watches I've used have. The included wrist strap is large and comfortable, far better than many Chinese watches I've purchased which expect smaller wrists. Design-wise, it looks great, save for the top right where it just generically says "Smart Watch," like you need a reminder that this is a generic Chinese smart watch. As it was intended for the Chinese market, there is a seemingly useless app for anyone else in the AliPay QR code, but the good news is that the watch actually allows you to customize the QR code with PayPal or other apps. So while it doesn't support contactless debit/credit card payments, it does allow you to make payments in stores that have QR-based memberships, such as Starbucks. Not as versatile as premium smartwatches but for $30, it's a feature I haven't found in comparable or even more expensive smartwatches. The biggest issues I found are1) No media controls. This isn't exactly true, but the only way I can control my media on this watch is if I use it as a BT speaker, and the speaker is awkwardly placed so it's terrible for that purpose. Otherwise, I can't see or change my current music using the watch.2) Inconsistent notifications. I haven't seen any of my text messages on this watch, and this could be due to the watch expecting SMS from a different app, but I'm using the Google text messaging app, so there should be no reason it doesn't pull my texts from there when other watches do.3) Notification controls are poor. I can only select a few pre-approved apps to display notifications from, or all my phone notifications. Many types of notifications I do not want on my wrist, for example, email or games. So I can't turn all notifications on, but I can't turn the ones I want on either. As a notification reminder, it's poor.4) The alarm clock only vibrates, and not nearly strong enough to wake me. While I find this to be an issue, I don't rely on a watch to wake me up, so it's a minor issue.5) Speaker placement is poor. If you use the watch to listen to music or make phone calls, the speaker is placed in a position where lifting your wrist blocks 90% of the audio and can't be heard. For example, my driving position blocks the speaker more than half the time, making it a pointless speakerphone in the car.All that said, for $30, this watch is still quite great, if you aren't looking for a wrist buzzer, but rather a customizable watch and fitness tracker, this watch is an amazing value.
