Die Qualität finde ich sehr gut , auch die Passgenauigkeit . Und die Haptik beim Fahren ist super, zum einen wegen der Qualität des Materials , und wohl auch dadurch, das das Lenkrad ja jetzt etwas dicker als vorher ist , und somit satter und besser in der Hand liegt. Es ist quasi ein anderes / besseres Fahrgefühl, fast so , als hätte man ein neues bzw anderes Auto . Das Lenkrad ist ja nunmal auch das im Auto, was man die ganze Zeit anfasst, und über das man die Rückmeldung von der Strasse bekommt . Ich war mir nicht sicher, ob man das so einfach selber angenäht bekommt, trotz guter Anleitung und Hinweisen . Aber es ging besser als gedacht , wenn man die Anleitungen und das youtube Video beachtet. Ich bin ohne die Klebestreifen ausgekommen, wobei rechts und links neben den Schaltern und unten an der Speiche läge es mit diesen wahrsch. noch etwas stabiler und fester an. Also für mich ist es eine deutlich Verbesserung und Aufwertung in Punkto Optik und Haptik gegenüber dem Zustand vorher , weil das originale hatte doch schon etwas gelitten, war stellenweise abgegriffen , siehe auch die Bilder vorher / nachher.

I've provided a bunch of pictures of the original wheel state and the installation of the cover. I fully recommend removing the wheel to work on it. You can certainly do it in place, but this process will take much more than an hour and your back may appreciate the "on your counter or workbench" position better than the car driving position. This improves the look and feel of the old greasy looking original steering wheel, The artificial leather feels and looks good, stitching looks good with the M logos and 50th Aniversary steering emblem. The instructions are thorough and detailed... but I would supplement with a bunch of youtube videos to see the success and failures of others before your start. The cover is tight enough around the wheel that it doesn't move or spin on the wheel and the included 3m tape works well to hold the leather in some places. It took me ~3 hours to fully stitch up and put trim back onto wheel on the ends of the stitching where you tie a knot it can be hard to hide the knot. I see some bunching that I may take the trim back off and use a 3m adhesive to stick down. I somewhat regret thinking it would resolve itself -- for now, let's get back to a few hot days in April and see if I need to stick and restitch. MEWANT (I love the name for things you want for your car) makes this for my other BMW (E89 Z4) and I'm looking into their covers for that one as well. So I'd certainly recommend this. If you are extremely picky, just go and pay hundreds to a professional, this is a good value option that wont slip and looks OEM.

Mit etwas Geschick und kleineren Anpassungen definitiv machbar allerdings gebe ich mein Lenkrad nächstes wieder zum Sattler da das Preisleistung verhältnismäßig und die Verarbeitung ohne Zweifel besser ist .
