Worked PERFECT! NOTE: I wish I had read the reviews that said there are two in a pack so that I would not have over-ordered. Use plumbers tape around the pump treads several wraps, secured the adaptors, hose clamped on the hoses. No leaks. A real quiet pump. Got mine ordered then Amazon Prime stopped selling it temporarily. I rate these adaptors (2/pack) as a solid buy, buy, buy.

Update: Plumbing tape worked! No more drips!! Update the next day: they leak. They appear to fit perfectly, but they drip like mad. I'll try plumbing tape or something. They work perfectly!! If they didn't, I'd have to buy a whole new filter setup. These did the trick! Thank you so much.

I bought this after seeing a video on YouTube about converting a Summer Escapes pool skimmer to use an Intex pump after my Summer Escapes pump went out. Summer Escapes pumps are glorified fish tank pumps and didn't last one year for me. This worked just how the guy said it would in the video. Attached these to the hose in & out of the Intex 2500 gal/hr pump I got on Amazon. Then the input hose on the pump to a GAME 4552 Skim Filter Pump Adaptor on my Summer Escapes skimmer and the other hose attached to the outlet on the pool. You need these Filter hose converters on the Intex pump to attach a generic 1-1/2" hose to (one such hose should already be on your Summer Escapes pump/skimmer setup). You need to use a pipe clamp to attach the hoses to the hose converters on the Intex pump. This was the only problem I had when doing this setup. I had to really torque down the clamps on the hose and these converters to get the hose to stay while the 2500 gal/hr pump was running. I had to angle the hoses just right also and support them so they came into the converters straight on. If the hose sagged or pulled up on the pump depending on how the pump was positioned I found I got some leaking. These work for this type of DIY pump conversion for a Summer Escapes pool but it may not go smoothly at first. But I've been using this setup with these converters all summer with no problems so far. *** FYI. These are sold as a 2-pack. The description isn't clear about this but it is a 2-pack.

First let me explain what I am trying to do. I have an Intex pool that the pump burned up in during the first year. Our friends had an extra standard pool filter and pump from when they moved into their home which I was trying to adapt to the Intex pool. I did purchase another conversion off Amazon which worked briefly as it allowed me to use the existing 40mm Intex hose and screw into the pump and filter. The reason I say briefly is the suction from the pump side was too great and caused the Intex hose to kink. So I purchased this from Amazon and some flexible PVC pool/spa hose from the local big box retailer since it did mention converts to standard 1-1/2" hose. Unfortunately when I received this (two in a pack) it is not tapered and the hose was either too loose on one of the tiers and would not fit on the next. It does screw onto the stopper side of the pool easily and if you were converting to a 1-1/4 hose you may have better luck since it is threaded for a smaller hose fitting. Unfortunately it did not suit my needs. It was also cheap enough that I don't really feel like I'm out having tried it.

I use this thing all the time, it fits nice and tight on my pump and I just jam my hose on to it and vacuum out my pool.

Converted my older 1.5" hoses on my Summer Escapes 18' pool with side pump to fit the new ground pump which comes with larger opening for hoses (2"?) Works great! thanks!

I was using 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 rubber couplings to attach my 1 1/2 pool pump to my 1 1/4 Intex hoses. Not a good solution. This feel apart every couple of days and as you can imagine, when it falls apart, it's a wet disaster! I purchased this set of connectors as a permanent solution. In set this all up about 6 weeks ago and it has performed perfectly since.

Highly recommended for those that have a bestway pool that uses 1" hoses to covert to 1.5". Easy to install. Good seal and well priced. And you get 2. Buyer beware many others similar to this show 2 but only ship 1.

I purchased this to adapt the hoses that came with my Intex pool to the upgraded and much stronger Intex 56635EG Krystal Clear Cartridge Filter Pump. Works perfectly! No leakage when the tube clasps are properly applied.

Fit good

Tried to install on my new intex 12" sand filter pump. They are very tight fitting and caused the end to crack. The threads do not seem to be exactly the same. Hopefully it will not leak or crack off. Will look for a better solution.

Works great. It fits well onto Intex Plunger valve and let's me connect 1.25" hose to it.
