Excellent recording and performance
Martha Argerich is one of the most revered pianists of our era and I have known her existence since in my 20's. I have watched her perform in various concerts and TVs throughout several decades, but never owned any of her vinyl or CD recordings up till now and whilst searching for some of recordings by other great pianists, I just came by this recording and decided to buy this recording. I can now see why some people would simply get captivated by her performance. Her magic permeates even though this medium called CD. Why didn't I get to own this a lot earlier ?! But I am now glad to be given a chance to listen to her recording in the comfort of my home. It is a really good recording and can't believe it was recorded in the swinging 60's. If you are new to Chopin or Martha Argerich, don't hesitate, just buy this recording.

Beautiful performance
This is a superb recording. In 1966 a year after this recording I saw Martha Argerich at the Edinburgh Festival - since then her playing remains remarkable and has lasted better than this recording which some very thoughless person shoved behind a drainpipe near my front door thus damaging the cover. Fortunately some robust packaging saved worse damage. The actual music deserves 6 stars at least.

A must for Martha's lovers
I of course love Martha and have a lot of cds with her performances, but I wanted to have her first recording on vinyl. This is an amazing performance from 1965, the year when the young Argentinian piano player won the Chopin Prize and amazed the musical world with her interpretation of the Piano Sonata #3 and some mazurkas. A so nostalgic, so beautiful and so powerful recording!Three stars because though the vinyl came sealed, I was surprised by the dirty accumulated in the grooves. After playing the A side of the LP on the stylus there was an impressive quantity of muck. I had to stop and to clean the garbage for my stylus is an expensive micro one. There are also unpleasant crackling and popping due to electrization. Some manufacturers less famous than Warner produce clean vinyls, so it is an enigma for me how this one could be of a so bad quality.
