Amazing speakers at a fantastic price
Amazing speakers at a fantastic price. Check out the review and thread for the B215XL (bigger brother of these) at avsforum (a popular audio forum in the US). These are essentially the same as the B215XL and are great for home cinema and stereo - if you have a subwoofer too.Their frequency response on paper is not that great - something like 60hz - 18khz but, with a good subwoofer it's pretty irrelevant unless you can hear past 18khz (I'd suggest the vast majority of adults cannot). Even if you can, I doubt it means much at all.The reason for the less than ideal freq response is probably due to the very high speaker sensitivity at 95db/1w/1m - meaning reference levels can be met with pretty modest amplifiers. These speakers go insanely loud without any distortion whatsoever and simply sound fantastic at any volume. Voices are superb. I don't listen very loudly but, these take everything in their stride and everything is controlled. The freq response seems to allow for the integration of a subwoofer to be a breeze compared with hifi speakers I have used - maybe because the speaker simply doesn't go low and the subwoofer does it all (from 80hz in my case). The only downside to these is the looks imo since they are PA speakers but, it's all about the sound aint it!?Again, please look for the thread on avsforum. Even though it's the B215XL thread, these have been described as being the same but, with wider dispersion, less sensitivity (96db for the 215xl) and less freq response (not that it seems to matter for most). However, the 215xl's are bigger and might be even less living room friendly and cost a bit more (although still very, very cheap).

Great sound and really light weight.
I bought a pair of these to replace some heavy and cumbersome Peavey 15" Eurosys speakers. At only 10.9 kg, they are a joy to handle, and there is no lack of sound quality. As an experiment, I also connected one of the Peavey 15" cabs, and you could barely tell the difference, the bass response was almost as good and the overall range, definition and clarity was probably even better than the Peaveys, with more "punch".The moulded cabinet looks realy tough, and there are two 1/4" jack sockets in parallel as well as two "Speakon" type sockets. With the two side mounted handles, one can easily carry two of these speakers without needing physiotherapy afterwards!Delivered at 9.30 this morning (Saturday) after only being ordered online yesterday. Well done Amazon!Highly recommended.

These are great sounding speakers and quite light too
These are great sounding speakers and quite light too. Don't expect earth shattering bass from them but if used in conjunction with a pair of sub-bass units crossed over at around 200Hz they will probably last a long time. Build quality is good but the metal grill over the bass driver is easily pushed in. I don't think that these can be beaten for the price.

Great PA speaker!
Brilliant product, well solid construction, very neat and versatile as free standing, floor wedge style, or 35mm pole mounted.Oh yeah, the sound? - Quality throughout the range. Sure if you need gut wrenching lows then use a dedicated sub. Good bass response. This is a great piece of kit. Three year warranty as well - yep, it's a Behringer!

Problems with these
Bought 2 of these about a year ago and used with a 1000 watt amp, they were great for the first couple months but to about 9 months in I started to have problems with these. After using for one night, I had a problem of that the clue from the top plate to cone on the woofer had melted and had made the sound very very distorted. Then about 11 months in after another gig both speakers had fully packed up with one speaker with a very bad burning fishy smell with no woofer sound at all and the other speakers top plate melted off again with no sound at all either. If your looking to buy for long term DJ use and to be knocked about a bit, I would NOT recommend these
