This is just what we need it for our tv since the previous original remote control had broken

I bought this in the hopes that I would be able to swap the circuit board with the one that's in my original Samsung remote, since the electronics in my original are still good but the case has gotten nearly destroyed over the years. I wanted to do this because an OEM replacement is way too expensive and I wanted to retain the Bluetooth functionality of the original (this replacement remote is IR only). That didn't work despite the two boards/remotes being nearly identical in size and shape, and the OEM board does fit into the new case.In the pictures that I've attached you'll notice the two reasons that I was not able to swap the boards. 1) While the two edge notches on the bottom of both boards do line up well, the top two notches do not. All four notches need to be identically positioned in order to secure the board in place and snap the remote's case back together. 2) The following buttons are not identically placed on both boards: back, play/pause, numbers/"123", and "EXTRA." The power, volume, channel, and circle pad buttons do align well. All of the buttons would need to line up in order to use the new case and buttons.So I put it all back together and decided to just try out this replacement remote as-is. All things considered, this is a pretty nice remote. It's very responsive, the buttons feel much better than the original remote, and all buttons and functions work as advertised without the need to pair it to the television. Even though it's IR-only, I feel this is a better remote overall compared to the original Samsung. It would have been nice to get the OEM board to fit in there but this is a perfectly fine replacement, and I would recommend it.For context: My television model number is UN65KS8000FXZA.

Works better than the manufacturer's original. It actually has buttons that you can feel push down instead of the stupid plate on the original Samsung remotes. Odd that it doesn't come with instructions, but it didn't need set-up. It actually worked right out of the box. Highly recommend. 4 stars because I've only had it for a week. Hopefully it will last.

I hated the remote that came with my Samsung TV so much that I actually was using a Roku on it instead. However, the Roku started acting funny and the 4k wasn't getting recognized correctly, so I went back to using the apps on the TV and was SO frustrated by the remote. On a whim, I got this one - figured it was cheap and I could return it if it didn't work with my obscure model (an older 40" NU7100).However, it works PERFECTLY - I didn't need to do any programming at all. The buttons are soft and intuitive, and the IR works way better than the other one (it doesn't work like from under a blanket, but other than that, I don't really need to be point it directly at the tv either).Funny how such small things sometimes make life SO much easier :)
