Bite of Vengeance (Blood Oath) Paperback – January 25, 2023

This series was a great read! It put a completely different spin on the Van Helsing versus Dracula lure and the author does an amazing job of taking you through all the emotions felt by the characters from each of their perspectives. It’s filled with Love, reverse harem, action, death betrayal, spice, the works. It accurately paces the characters, emotional mental, and even traumatic moments throughout the entire novel, and it is unlike a lot of other novels that set an unrealistic even for fiction fantasy novel, standard of dealing with traumatic situations. There were plenty of spicy scenes that fit very well within the story like they weren’t awkwardly placed in a random places throughout the novel they were placed where they were supposed to be. I read this entire series within a matter of days. I would’ve finished the entire series within maybe a day or two if my schedule didn’t mess it up.Although it was spread out between four books, to me, in my opinion, it really should have been only one book. Maybe you could stretch it out to two books, but this series really didn’t need to be a full book series. This was my only “issue” with the series it’s not enough to drop the rating past five though. it’s literally one novel that was split between multiple books and and I’m not sure if it was just so that the author could make more money or just a production decision either way it didn’t really make sense to me to do that. New book literally just starts or continues from where the period the previous book ended so it was literally just a full continuation of the same book.I’d recommend this series to anyone who loves a good action, failed, spicy, vampire, romance novel, even if that’s not your typical cuppa tea I would still recommend it. It’s a very good series.I’m looking forward to Reading more of this author’s books.

To me, I would say this book went more of a slower pace until the end which is a bad thing because I was excited to see it pick up more. You really see Alina working through her feelings while also starting to step into the role of Queen and learn how to juggle all of her mates. She really shows maturity and how actions of people speak louder than words for her.

Intense and action packed this book is where the s hits the fan.She has her mates and yummy the spice kicked up to 4/5 you won't be disappointed.We know the bad guys the book ends on a cliffhanger someone might die if they can't get to a certain witch in time.Action, romance, sex, betrayal ive been unable to put it down.Onto the final book #4.Highly recommend.

The pacing of this book is insane. You’re telling me by book 3 it’s only been like two maybe three weeks ?! please tell me I’m wrong. If you ignore the timeline of events, it’s a great storyline. It’s just certain things are way too fast pace, even for a supernatural book. Especially since they contradict things they say in the book based on time. “it’s was so long ago..” ma’am it was three days ago like what. other then that, i’m obsessed with the storyline.

This just keeps getting better and better how much more will Alina have to face before she see peace. Betrayal after betrayal. Can’t wait to start thee next book

Life is never easy in a castle with vampires and three mates. But it sure is interesting with lots of twist and turns and secret. But after bonding with her soul sword life is better maybe .

We pick up right where we left off from that heartbreaking cliffhanger from book 2.My heart hurt for Alina. Even though she knew it wasn't the real Andrei talking didn’t mean it didn't hurt any less. Drake stepping in and trying to console her and ease her hurt was so freaking sweet. It really helped to cement their bond and brought them closer. I loved it! He would burn down the world for her. Lincoln was there fighting with her to help Andrei see the light of day.Lincoln's love for Alina is deeper than his dislike for Andrei so he was there with her every step of the way. He even helped Andrei see the light of day. I loved that whole scene.Andrei feeling he had no other option than to push her away was heartbreaking. His dad is a real piece of work to make him choose between a mother he adores and his mate. He finally comes to realize that he should have just told Alina and the boys what was going on because they are all there to support and fight his battles with him.I love Lo! Like seriously love her! She's a bada$$! Her and Alina are definitely going to cause Drake to go gray and bald with their antics. Haha lolThis book is a roller-coaster. There's so many more things at play than they realize. It all leads up to a jaw dropping cliffhanger that left me reeling! (Queue the phone throwing!) Why would you leave us hanging like that?! What did we do to deserve this?! This is why R.L. is one of my favorite authors. She keeps you guessing and can draw out so many emotions in just one book! I never get bored! I love it!

Alina is back with more mayhem, action, intrigue, sexy time, sarcasm...oh and a soul bound talking sword? Yup...it's about to get crazy. So put up your feet and prepare for one heckuva ride filled with all kind of emotions! Gotta admit... i love the new dynamic duo/besties of Lo and Al with all their sarcasm and action packed moves 😉. There are plenty of twists and turns in this action packed read. Alina and her three sexy guys have their hands full fending off sinister plots and more. I absolutely loved this book. The characters jump off the page and just grab hold of you. I can't wait to see how this all turns out in the next book. I know one thing- never bet against the Queen. Especially a vampire queen that is also a Van Helsing slayer ❤. Ya mess with those she loves and you will pay. Retribution is coming.

I absolutely love this series! This is my fav RL Caulder series by far, although they are all good but this one surpasses the other in my humble opinion. I love Alina and her strength and the harem is incredible, they all bring something different to the table! I can't wait to read book 4!!

Can this series get any better, action packed, fun, exciting and entertaining.Can’t wait to see how this plays out. It all goes back to the very beginning hehe

After the first two books, I was not sure how it could get any better but it did! The character development and their relations were just so greatly written and gave the story so much life. The FMC was very relatable for me in how she deals with things and it was just a charr on top of the already amazing book!

Oh my goodness! Book 3 was a full ride! That cliffhanger was wow is all I can say! Such a great series and it just gets better and better. Alina, Lo and the guys are amazing and the world DIA that’s been built is just phenomenal and honestly can’t wait to read more and see what happens *biting nails nervously*

I am going to be brutally honest here and i am very aware that everybody has a different opinion. I actually loved the first 2 books. Good world building and introduction of the characters and setting.After half of the third book i lost interest. I was confused myself because i still liked the story and wanted to know the ending. I thought about it and now i know what’s missing.Character building. What does one character like dislike enjoy hates is disgusted by etc and i do not mean backstory (which is almost mentioned to often if i do say so myself i mean yesssss we get it). I honestly couldn’t tell you that about the even the main character. What does she like? Her boys (thats like literally the whole thing), leather clothes (but only cause it reminds her of her backstory being a hunter), this is the only thing that comes to mind. Her dislikes? I guess grand gestures (roses mentioned in the second book i think) on the other hand i think she would enjoy it now? (Kind of confused and out of character) Enjoys? Ehm sex i think and maybe school to some extend although the whole school experience is left aside, sad if you ask me. Her „friends“ whom she spoke to 2 times not kidding in the whole 3 books. I don’t mind fast pacing but there is no character development (except the kind of 180 from ruthless, arrogant to doting and loving from her mates). Hates? Drinking human blood (also because of her past) Disgusted by? Nothing comes to mind.Once characters become overly selfless or loving always forgiving it prohibits real personal growth in the characters. They basically lack all personality excluding exactly that trait (boys: possessiv,anger, protective her: forgiving, selfless (the main feelings)). Completely different from the first book marked by striving for a specific goal while still healing invisible wounds. It just turns into something we stop to identify which lead to loss of interest.The few scenes of personal conversation ( 20 questions with Alina and Andrei cut short, idk if theres more prob just about backround) isnˋt sufficient.At the end i am questioning if i really know these characters or if they (in their world of course) could even exist like that. If that makes sense.I am truly saddened by how the story plays out. None the less i enjoyed the first books and hope everyone, who still decides to read a happy adventure out of reality.Love Lena(Sorry for eventual spelling/ grammar mistakes english isn’t my first language)
