Needs proper attaching but a confident purchase.
Have to be careful to attach it correctly otherwise it slips, but overall a good buy and gives confidence in the bath or shower.

Bought two sets now, rock solid support on tiles.
I'm using these exclusively in the bathroom to help my dad balance when he doesn't have his frame. I must admit to being a little sceptical that suction cups would bear his full weight - these were originally bought as a stop gap while I decided where supports were needed the most - but they've exceeded my expectations. When the tiles are clean and dry, you simply press the suction cup firmly to it and then ratchet the lever down to lock it firmly into place. In fact it takes some force to push the levers fully down - if it doesn't then you haven't made a proper seal. I've tested all of them with my full body weight and it's more likely the tiles would go before the seals or handles did. It's tempting to do what we do with little suction cups and add some moisture to get them to stick but I'd advise against it as they could slip. Just make sure the surface is clean and dry and the suction cup free of dust and fluff and it'll make a perfect seal.I've tested them on other surfaces, such as painted wood, and I wouldn't trust them at all even if they do apparently stick. It doesn't take long before air escapes and they become unstable. It absolutely has to be a non porous surface or they're more of a liability than an aid.So what started as a stop gap has now become a semi permanent if not permanent solution. The versatility of being able to move them where support is most needed without having to drill holes is perfect, even if the places they can be used are limited. I check them regularly out of habit but I haven't had one fail and I don't expect any of them to.The plastic is robust and the handles are a good size. I'd say the only improvement that could be made would be the addition of a rubberised coating of some sort for extra grip and comfort. Otherwise, and especially for the price, these are a solid five stars. It goes without saying that if I didn't believe they stay firmly where they're put (when placed correctly) I wouldnt use them or recommend others use them. They've made my father's life much easier and I trust them to do the job, they're an excellent product.

Well worth the extra money.
These are replacements for another cheaper brand which were not fit for use, unsafe and actually fell off the tiles overnight. Newthinking are a far superior brand and I have now purchased another double set !!!

Helpful in the shower
The suction on these are great!!! I have had one up in the shower for months now and it hasn't lost its suction. I would highly recommend these for any one who has trouble getting in and out of the bath/shower. Very pleased with our purchase

Mixed pair
One of the pair has done exactly what was required, the other kept falling off the wall. When it works itโs very good.

Only sticks to tiled walls. Sticks well initially but a after while pulls off. Nearly had an accident while relying on it for support. Made sure tiles were clean and dry then tried again, same thing happened.
