Does what it is supposed to do.
This mat is quite good. It lies flat, and hasn't been a problem to solder on.I know some folks have problems with mats like these if they press the iron into them, but that's not how I solder. :)The small trays at the top are a bit gimmicky, but the larger ones are actually useful. I wouldn't use the smaller ones anyway, given the location of my fume extractor inlet.

The only thing I wish is that this was a bit larger. Say another 12 inches in width and length to cover more area to protect bench from stray solder splatter.

Good buy for my bench.
I use this to protect my electronics bench while soldering. Having the little storage areas for small parts is good too providing you are only storing them temporarily and their isn't many of them.
