My eight year old son loves this series- there are some very sad parts you might consider skipping or modifying if you have a sensitive child -(like I do) - these are excellent and contain a lot of wisdom- I also enjoyed them

Ms. Pennypacker,you are an amazing artist.This story was a wonderful work of art. Pax, Peter,Vola... No other words are really needed. Just awesome.

not quite as emotional as the first one, but a wonderful continuation of the story. Looking forward to the next one.

Hats off to Sara Pennypacker for topping her first novel, Pax.New characters and a poignant story line create an engrossing, bittersweet tail that can be enjoyed by young and old alike. There are some sad moments, but life has sad moments and it is wise not to sugar coat everything that young people read so they will know that life isn’t always fairytale perfect. There will be bumps in the road. This was why Walt Disney, in his infinite wisdom, had Bambi’s mother die in the fire. He too experienced tragic loss as a child, and it illustrates that young people can cope. It is a life lesson, told in a kind and gentle way which I found pitch perfect. I felt this story was both admirable and endearing. I highly recommend it to all ages.

Probably good for ages 10+, a lot of older language. My student enjoyed the story. Has a good lesson about letting people be in your life and not pushing them away.

My 10 year old grandson recommended this series to me sand I’m so happy he did! I’ll love reviewing it with him and share the wonderful story. Bought the set for my granddaughter who is a nut about foxes.

I loved this book so much because there was no killing. Most animal shows and books have it in them and I can't stand to watch any killing of animals. I know it's the food chain but I like feel good with animals. There enough killing in the real world. Thank you. Excellent quick read.
