Zap Formula PT38

I have used the 30 minute ZAP Z-Poxy clear epoxy resin to successfully repair the clear coat on a guitar.Please be aware of two things:1. Despite the lack of information on the product packaging, the product (I presume the hardener component) has a limited shelf life (duration unknown unless it is mentioned on the manufacturer's website). I found this to my cost recently when using the 30 minute ZAP Z-Poxy product that I had lying around for many months. Although I took care to mix it in the correct 50:50 proportions, the stuff didn't set at all and ended up with the consistency of a firm gum which I had to dig out of the hole I had filled and start again.2. Instruction no. 3 requires you to puncture the caps before using because it should be sealed at the factory. If you find, as I did, that your bottles have already been punctured and open to the atmosphere, reject the product as damaged/defective because the degradation will already have started and therefore you will not know how long it will last.

Brilliant stuff for Jewellery making - need to be very delicate with some things so use a cocktail stick as an applicator.

I wouldn't want to be without this stuff because it fixes so many things. I bought it originally to encapsulate the heads and eyes whilst tying lager fishing flies but it has proved to be one of these household essentials.

Broken toys, and many other items including my husband's fly tying and fishing gear benefit from this fast setting epoxy. This my second purchase of it and its a "must have" in the the toolbox.

Excellent adhesive the five minute setting time is very useful especially if using on small items. Easyto use with minimum mess.
